Lufenuron manufacturers

Lufenuron is a benzoylurea pesticide used as an insect growth regulator (IGR). When sourcing, you must prioritize a purity level (assay) of ≥98% for technical grade material. Key technical parameters include moisture content (≤0.5%), acidity (calculated as H2SO4 ≤0.2%), and acetone insolubles (≤0.5%). For formulated products like EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate) or SC (Suspension Concentrate), ensure the emulsification stability and cold storage stability meet FAO international standards.

As a chemical pesticide, Lufenuron must comply with strict regulatory frameworks. Suppliers should provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For agricultural use, check for FAO/WHO specifications. If importing into specific regions, ensure the manufacturer supports REACH registration (EU) or EPA registration (USA). Furthermore, the factory should ideally hold ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications.

Lufenuron is highly effective against Lepidoptera larvae (such as cotton bollworm and armyworm) and rust mites. Its primary function is inhibiting chitin synthesis, preventing insects from molting. It is favored in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs because it is relatively low-toxicity to beneficial insects and pollinators like bees compared to traditional organophosphates. It is also widely used in veterinary applications for flea control in pets.

The price of Lufenuron is heavily influenced by the cost of raw materials like 2,6-difluorobenzamide. Buyers should monitor upstream chemical market trends in China. To optimize costs, consider bulk purchasing (MOQ typically 25kg for tech or 1000L for formulations) to secure discounts of 10-15%. Always factor in the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including specialized hazardous goods packaging and dangerous goods (DG) maritime freight, which can significantly impact the final landed cost.

Lufenuron is often classified as a Class 9 Dangerous Good (Environmentally Hazardous Substance) for international transport (UN 3077/3082). You must ensure the supplier provides UN-approved packaging (e.g., fluorinated bottles or fiber drums with plastic liners). It is critical to use a freight forwarder experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling to avoid customs seizures or heavy fines at the port of entry.

To ensure security, use Trade Assurance or Letter of Credit (L/C) for large volumes. Before full payment, hire a third-party inspection agency like SGS or Intertek to perform pre-shipment sampling and lab testing to verify the active ingredient content. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site factory verifications to minimize the risk of trading with non-manufacturing middlemen.

Focus negotiations on lead time stability and batch consistency. Request a long-term supply agreement if you have recurring needs, as this can lock in prices during market volatility. Ask for customized formulation services (e.g., specific solvent ratios) which can provide a competitive edge in your local market. Always clarify Incoterms (FOB vs CIF) clearly, as shipping insurance is vital for chemical products.

Pesticide imports are strictly regulated by national agricultural departments. You must verify if you hold a valid Import Permit for Lufenuron in your destination country. Ensure the supplier provides bilingual labeling that complies with the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals to prevent clearance delays.
