Cat breeding cage manufacturers

For professional breeding, prioritize 304-grade stainless steel or heavy-duty galvanized steel with non-toxic powder coating. These materials ensure corrosion resistance against animal waste and cleaning chemicals. Ensure the wire diameter is at least 3mm to 4mm to prevent bending, and the wire spacing should be no more than 2.5cm to 3cm to prevent kittens from getting their heads stuck.

A high-quality breeding cage must feature a multi-tier layout with a dedicated nesting area that provides privacy for the queen. Look for designs with removable dividers to adjust space as kittens grow, and ensure there are large access doors for easy handling. Integrated litter box drawers and slide-out waste trays are essential for maintaining the high hygiene standards required for neonatal health.

Buyers should verify that the coating is lead-free and BPA-free to prevent poisoning if cats chew on the bars. Compliance with ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality and SGS/TUV certifications for material safety is highly recommended. For the US market, ensure the product aligns with ASTM standards for pet products, and for the EU, check for REACH compliance regarding chemical substances.

Select cages equipped with industrial-grade lockable casters for easy mobility during floor cleaning. The locking mechanisms should be spring-loaded or 'escape-proof' to prevent clever breeds from opening them. Additionally, look for seamless welding to prevent sharp edges that could injure the animals or the handler.

Cat cages are bulky and prone to deformation. Insist on Five-Layer Corrugated Cardboard packaging with EPE foam corner protectors and wooden crates for LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments. Request the supplier to provide a pre-shipment inspection report and photos of the internal reinforcement to ensure the structural integrity is maintained during transit.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (such as extra trays or wheels) to be included in the initial order. If purchasing in bulk, ask for a progressive discount structure (e.g., 5-10% off for 100+ units) and request OEM customization for your brand logo to be laser-etched, which adds value for resale.

Always utilize the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Do not transfer funds directly to private accounts; ensure the beneficiary name matches the company name on the business license. For large orders, consider a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to maintain leverage.

Due to the high volume-to-weight ratio, Sea Freight (FOB or CIF) is the most economical method. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that some countries may impose on steel products from specific regions. Ensure your supplier provides a detailed Packing List, Commercial Invoice, and Certificate of Origin to facilitate smooth customs clearance and potentially reduce import tariffs.
