Wholesale sand wax manufacturers

When purchasing sand wax, the most critical factor is the melting point, which typically ranges from 50°C to 62°C. For B2B buyers, it is essential to verify the granule size consistency to ensure an even burn. You should prioritize 100% plant-based palm wax or soy-based granules if your target market values sustainability. Additionally, check the oil content (ideally <0.5%) to prevent the wax from clumping during transit or storage in warmer climates.

For cross-border trade, ensure the supplier provides an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to facilitate customs clearance and verify chemical safety. If the wax is scented, it must comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards. For the US market, ensure the product meets ASTM F2417 (Standard Specification for Candle Fire Safety), and for the EU, verify REACH compliance to ensure no restricted hazardous substances are present.

High-quality sand wax should feature self-extinguishing properties when the wick burns out and a clean-burning profile with minimal soot. For event planners and decor retailers, scent throw (both cold and hot) is a key performance metric; the wax should be able to hold a fragrance load of 6% to 10% without sweating. Furthermore, the granules should be free-flowing and not stick together, allowing for easy pouring into various containers.

To optimize costs, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer tiered pricing, where discounts of 15-25% are common for orders exceeding 1,000kg. Consider the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by evaluating packaging; bulk bags (25kg) are more cost-effective than retail-ready jars. Always request a pre-shipment sample to test the burn rate, as a slower burn rate increases the product's value proposition to the end consumer.

The biggest risk is temperature-induced clumping or melting during sea freight, especially when crossing the equator. To mitigate this, specify cool-dry storage on the Bill of Lading or use reefer containers for very large high-value shipments. Additionally, ensure the packaging is moisture-proof (PE-lined bags) to prevent humidity from affecting the wax's texture and burning performance.

Utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. When negotiating, clearly define the Quality Acceptance Criteria (AQL 2.5/4.0) in the contract. Demand a Third-Party Inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) before the final balance is paid to verify that the granule quality and weight match the proforma invoice.

For North America, ensure your supplier is familiar with ISF (Importer Security Filing) requirements to avoid heavy fines. For Europe, ensure the EORI number is correctly documented. Given that sand wax is a chemical product (though non-hazardous), always provide the HS Code (typically 340490 or 1521) to your freight forwarder early to confirm if any specific anti-dumping duties apply in your region.
