Wholesale glue pen manufacturers

When evaluating glue pens, prioritize the applicator tip type (fine point for precision or sponge for broad coverage) and the adhesive formulation. For B2B buyers, acid-free and photo-safe properties are essential for stationery markets. Ensure the shelf life is at least 18-24 months to prevent inventory loss, and verify that the drying time aligns with the intended use—typically 10-30 seconds for quick-dry craft pens.

Glue pens are classified under chemical and stationery categories. For the US market, products must comply with ASTM D-4236 (LHAMA) to ensure chronic toxicity labeling. For the EU, EN71-3 (Safety of Toys) and REACH regulations are mandatory to ensure the absence of harmful phthalates and heavy metals. Always request Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from the supplier before finalizing a purchase.

Look for manufacturers with ISO 9001 certification to ensure consistent production quality. Request a leakage test report to confirm the pen's sealing mechanism prevents drying or leaking during air transit. It is recommended to source from suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer third-party factory audits and have a proven track record of OEM/ODM customization for global brands.

Glue pens are highly versatile, catering to scrapbooking, card making, and DIY crafts due to their precision. In professional settings, they are used for architectural modeling and office stationery. High-demand variants include repositionable glue pens (which allow for temporary bonding) and glitter glue pens for the educational and toy sectors.

The main risk is leakage due to pressure changes during air freight and viscosity changes caused by extreme temperatures in sea containers. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed inner packaging and reinforced outer cartons. Additionally, since glue is a chemical, some carriers may classify it as 'sensitive goods,' requiring specific non-hazardous chemical declarations to avoid customs delays.

For wholesale orders, tiered pricing is standard; aim for a 15-25% discount on volumes exceeding 5,000 units. If you require customized blister card packaging, the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) usually increases to 3,000-5,000 units. Negotiate for free samples (buyer pays shipping) to verify the adhesive strength before committing to a full production run.

Always utilize Trade Assurance services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. For large orders, use a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment structure against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify quantity and quality, ensuring the goods match the approved gold sample.

Check the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 350610 for products suitable for use as glues put up for retail sale) to determine import duties in your country. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that may apply to specific chemical products from certain regions. Ensure all outer packaging labels include the country of origin and necessary warning symbols in the destination country's language to pass customs smoothly.
