Wholesale airline headrest cover manufacturers

The most common materials are Non-woven polypropylene (spunbond or SMS), Polyester, and Disposable Paper. Non-woven fabrics are preferred for their cost-effectiveness, breathability, and hygienic properties. For premium cabins, washable polyester or leatherette options provide a more luxurious feel and are reusable, which can align with long-term sustainability goals.

Compliance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) or EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) regulations is mandatory. Specifically, materials must pass Vertical Flammability Tests (FAR 25.853) to ensure cabin safety. Additionally, look for OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to ensure the fabric is free from harmful chemicals, especially since it comes into direct contact with passengers' skin and hair.

You should request customized dimensions based on your fleet's seat specifications (e.g., Boeing vs. Airbus). Common attachment methods include Velcro strips, elastic bands, or adhesive tapes. Ensure the adhesive strength is sufficient to stay in place during flight but leaves no residue on the seat leather or fabric upon removal.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer Rotary Screen Printing or Flexographic Printing for high-volume disposable covers. For reusable covers, Embroidery or Heat Transfer Printing is recommended. Ensure the ink used is non-toxic and smudge-proof to prevent staining the aircraft seats or passenger clothing.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after quality verification. It is critical to ask for a flame retardant test report from a third-party lab like SGS or Intertek before finalizing the bulk order.

Focus on Annual Volume Commitments rather than individual spot orders to secure a 15-25% discount. Negotiate for Free Sampling and ask the supplier to include extra 1-2% buffer stock in each shipment to account for potential defects during high-speed automated production.

Since headrest covers are lightweight but high-volume, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. To reduce shipping costs, ensure the supplier uses Vacuum Compression Packaging, which can reduce the cargo volume by up to 40%, significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Be aware of Anti-dumping duties or specific Import Tariffs on Chinese textiles in your destination country. Check the HS Code (typically 6307.90) against your local customs schedule. Sourcing through Verified Suppliers on Made-in-China.com ensures you receive the correct Certificate of Origin, which may help in claiming preferential tariff rates under trade agreements.
