Wardrobe handle manufacturers

For high-humidity areas like bathrooms or coastal regions, 304 or 316 Stainless Steel and Zinc Alloy with high-quality electroplating are the preferred choices due to their superior corrosion resistance. Avoid low-grade aluminum or iron handles which are prone to oxidation and rusting. Ensure the supplier provides a Salt Spray Test report (typically 24-48 hours) to verify the durability of the finish.

The most critical technical specification is the Center-to-Center (CTC) distance, which must align with standard drilling templates (e.g., 96mm, 128mm, 160mm). Additionally, verify the screw length; standard doors are usually 18mm thick, requiring 22mm or 25mm M4 screws. For thicker custom doors, ensure the supplier can provide break-away screws or custom lengths to avoid installation failures.

Prioritize handles treated with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) for a finish that is harder and more wear-resistant than traditional electroplating. For healthcare or high-traffic commercial projects, look for anti-fingerprint coatings and antimicrobial surface treatments that inhibit bacterial growth. Always request a cross-cut adhesion test result to ensure the coating will not peel over time.

Buyers targeting the EU market must ensure products are REACH and RoHS compliant, meaning they are free from hazardous substances like lead and cadmium. For the US market, compliance with ASTM B117 (Salt Spray Testing) and ANSI/BHMA A156.9 for cabinet hardware performance is highly recommended to ensure the product meets professional building standards.

Finish inconsistency is a common risk in bulk hardware orders. To mitigate this, request a 'Golden Sample' before mass production and mandate that the supplier uses the same batch of raw materials and plating tanks for the entire order. Utilize third-party pre-shipment inspections to check color consistency under D65 standard light sources.

Hardware production is highly volume-dependent. You can often secure a 10-15% discount by increasing the order to meet the manufacturer's raw material melt weight. If you require a custom design, negotiate a mold fee rebate policy where the supplier refunds the tooling cost once your cumulative order volume reaches a specific threshold (e.g., 5,000 units).

Wardrobe handles are heavy and prone to scratching. Insist on individual polybagging or foam wrapping for each handle to prevent metal-on-metal friction. For sea freight, ensure the use of double-corrugated export cartons and palletization with plastic wrap to prevent moisture ingress and box collapse during stacking. For sourcing reliable manufacturers with robust packaging standards, platforms like Made-in-China.com offer access to verified factories with export experience.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by reputable trade platforms to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Clearly define Quality Acceptance Levels (AQL 1.5/4.0) in the purchase contract. If sourcing from China, check if the supplier has a Verified Manufacturer status on Made-in-China.com, which indicates they have undergone on-site audits by independent inspection companies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland.
