Used refrigerator freezer manufacturers

When purchasing pre-owned cooling units, you must prioritize the compressor condition and refrigerant type. Ensure the compressor is original and has not undergone major repairs. Verify that the refrigerant used (e.g., R600a or R134a) complies with your local environmental regulations. Additionally, check the energy efficiency rating (look for Energy Star or equivalent) and confirm the insulation integrity of the door seals to prevent energy leakage.

Request a functional test report or a video showing the unit reaching its target temperature (typically -18°C for freezers and 4°C for fridges) within a standard timeframe. Ask the supplier if the units have undergone a refurbishment process, which should include deep cleaning, coil vacuuming, and thermostat calibration. Prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer a 3 to 6-month warranty on core components like the motor.

Compliance is the biggest hurdle for used goods. You must ensure the products meet CE, UL, or RoHS standards depending on your target market. Many countries require a Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) or a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to prove the items are not 'electronic waste.' Always verify if your country allows the import of used appliances containing specific HCFCs or CFCs, as these are often restricted under the Montreal Protocol.

Used appliances are typically categorized by grades. Grade A units are 'like new' with minimal scratches; Grade B may have visible dents but are fully functional; Grade C units are functional but have significant cosmetic wear. Clearly define the grading criteria in your contract to avoid receiving sub-par inventory. Request high-resolution photos of the interior, back panels, and plug types to ensure compatibility with your local power grid (110V vs 220V).

The primary risks include shipping damage and non-functional units (DOA). To mitigate these, insist on professional export packaging, including corner protectors and heavy-duty shrink wrap. Use Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to secure your payment until the goods are shipped. It is also highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency to perform a random sampling test before the container is sealed.

For used goods, pricing is often tied to the container load (20ft or 40ft HQ) rather than individual units. Negotiate for a mixed-load discount if you are buying different sizes or grades. Ask for a spare parts kit (extra thermostats, door gaskets, and relays) to be included at no extra cost, which can reduce your local repair expenses by 10-15%.

Refrigerators must be shipped upright to prevent compressor oil from entering the cooling lines. Ensure the shipping agent is experienced in handling white goods. Because these are used items, customs may flag them for inspection; ensure all HS Codes (typically 8418) and 'Used' declarations are accurately documented to avoid heavy fines or seizure at the port of entry.

Look for the 'Audited Supplier' badge on Made-in-China.com, which indicates the supplier has been verified by independent inspection companies like SGS or Intertek. Check their business license scope to ensure they are authorized to export used electronics and review their transaction history to see if they have successfully shipped to your region previously.
