Used hammer crusher manufacturers

When sourcing a used hammer crusher, you must prioritize the wear condition of the hammer heads and the rotor speed. Ensure the hammer heads are made of high-manganese steel (Mn13Cr2 or Mn18Cr2) to guarantee impact resistance. Check the feed opening size to ensure it matches your raw material dimensions and verify the discharge granularity adjustment range. A critical technical check is the bearing temperature and vibration levels during a test run; excessive vibration often indicates rotor imbalance or internal structural fatigue.

Request the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance logs and the total operating hours. Inspect the internal liner plates for thickness; if they are worn beyond 60% of their original thickness, they will require immediate replacement. Additionally, evaluate the motor's insulation resistance and current stability. For B2B buyers, it is highly recommended to source through reputable suppliers on Made-in-China.com who can provide video inspections of the machine under load to confirm crushing efficiency and output consistency.

The equipment should ideally carry a CE marking for European markets or meet OSHA standards for the US. Ensure the unit includes safety protection covers for the belt drive and an emergency stop mechanism. Since it is used machinery, you must obtain a Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSI) to ensure the machine is clean of contaminants and meets the destination country's environmental and safety regulations for imported used mechanical equipment.

The biggest risks include hidden structural cracks, non-functional motors disguised by fresh paint, and customs clearance rejection due to environmental non-compliance. To mitigate this, always use Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the third-party inspection report is verified. Be wary of prices that are significantly lower than the market scrap value plus refurbishment costs.

Negotiate for a 'Wear Parts Package' to be included in the final price, specifically extra hammer heads, screen plates, and bolts. Demand a functional guarantee period (typically 3-6 months for used gear) rather than an 'as-is' agreement. Ensure the contract specifies that the supplier provides technical drawings and wiring diagrams, which are often lost with older machines but essential for local maintenance.

Due to the weight and density, Flat Rack containers or Breakbulk shipping are often necessary. The rotor must be locked or braced to prevent movement during transit, which could damage the bearings. Ensure the machine is treated with anti-rust oil and wrapped in heavy-duty waterproof plastic to prevent corrosion during sea freight. Always clarify the Incoterms; CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is recommended for buyers new to heavy machinery imports to ensure the cargo is insured against total loss during the voyage.
