Traffic glove manufacturers

When sourcing traffic gloves, prioritize high-visibility materials such as fluorescent polyester or nylon that meet EN ISO 20471 standards. For night-time operations, ensure the gloves feature retro-reflective tape (typically glass bead or micro-prismatic technology) with high CPL (Coefficient of Luminous Intensity) values. Additionally, check for palm grip enhancements like PVC dots or silicone coating to ensure the wearer can securely handle flashlights or communication devices.

B2B buyers must verify that the products carry the CE mark for the European market or meet ANSI/ISEA 107 standards for the US. Specifically, look for EN 388 certification, which rates the glove's resistance to abrasion, blade cuts, tears, and punctures. If the gloves are intended for cold climates, ensure they also comply with EN 511 for thermal insulation and water permeability.

For traffic control and signaling, gloves with integrated LED lights or high-contrast 'Stop/Go' paddles on the palms are highly effective. For law enforcement or emergency responders, look for touchscreen-compatible fingertips to allow the use of tablets without removing gear. In wet conditions, a waterproof breathable membrane (like TPU) is critical to maintain comfort during long shifts.

Request a wash-test report; high-quality traffic gloves should maintain their fluorescence and reflectivity for at least 25 to 50 industrial wash cycles. To optimize costs, analyze the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by comparing the unit price against the expected lifespan. Sourcing from verified manufacturers on Made-in-China.com often allows for tiered pricing, where orders exceeding 2,000 pairs can reduce unit costs by 15-25%.

The primary risk is non-compliance with local road safety regulations, which can lead to customs seizures or legal liability. Another risk is reflective degradation during transit if the packaging is not moisture-proof. Always use vacuum-sealed or moisture-barrier packaging for long-distance sea freight to prevent oxidation of reflective elements.

Specify a Golden Sample as the quality benchmark in your contract. Negotiate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) clause where a third-party agency (like SGS or Intertek) verifies that the chromaticity coordinates of the fabric and the reflectivity of the tape match the approved specifications before final payment is released.

For seasonal demands (e.g., winter traffic gear), start the sourcing process 4-5 months in advance. Utilize FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping costs and choose a freight forwarder experienced in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) classification to avoid incorrect HTS code application, which can lead to unnecessary tariffs.

Use secure payment methods such as Escrow services or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes. When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their manufacturing facilities, financial standing, and export capabilities to minimize trade fraud risks.
