Tooth brush for kids manufacturers

Prioritize extra-soft bristles made of high-quality nylon or PBT, as children's gums are delicate. The brush head should be small and rounded (typically 15mm to 20mm in length) to navigate small mouths easily. For electric models, ensure a pressure sensor is included to prevent over-brushing and a built-in timer to encourage the recommended 2-minute brushing duration.

Products must be BPA-free and phthalate-free. For the US market, compliance with CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and FDA registration is essential. For the EU, look for CE marking and compliance with EN ISO 20126 (manual toothbrushes) or EN 60335-2-52 (electric toothbrushes). Always verify RoHS and REACH certifications for chemical safety.

The handle should feature a non-slip silicone or rubber grip to accommodate a child's developing motor skills. For toddlers (ages 0-3), a large, easy-to-hold handle is preferred for parental assistance. For older children (ages 6+), a slimmer, contoured handle mimics adult brushes while maintaining a size appropriate for smaller hands.

If sourcing sustainable products, look for biodegradable bamboo handles or recycled food-grade plastics. Ensure the bamboo is heat-treated (carbonized) to provide water resistance and prevent mold growth. Verify FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification to ensure responsible sourcing of wood materials.

Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a bristle tuft retention test to ensure bristles do not fall out and pose a choking hazard. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after quality verification.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for initial market testing. Negotiate for customized packaging (OEM) which adds significant brand value for a low unit cost. Ask for tiered pricing—typically, increasing an order from 5,000 to 20,000 units can reduce the unit price by 15-25%.

Toothbrushes are lightweight but high-volume; therefore, sea freight (LCL) is most cost-effective for bulk orders. If the toothbrushes contain lithium batteries (electric models), they must be shipped as Class 9 Dangerous Goods, requiring specific MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) documentation and UN38.3 certification for customs clearance.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification. Check the supplier's export history to your specific country to ensure they are familiar with your local customs regulations and labeling requirements (such as UDI for medical devices if applicable).
