Tongue scraper manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize Medical-Grade Stainless Steel (304 or 316) or Pure Copper for durability and hygiene. Stainless steel is preferred for its anti-corrosive properties and ease of sterilization, while copper is valued for its natural antimicrobial effects. If sourcing plastic variants, ensure they are BPA-free and food-grade PP to meet safety standards.

As an oral care product, it must comply with FDA registration for the U.S. market and CE Marking (Medical Device Regulation - MDR) for the EU. Additionally, ensure the manufacturer provides ISO 13485 certification (Quality Management for Medical Devices) and RoHS/REACH reports to verify the absence of heavy metals and toxic chemicals.

Look for an ergonomic U-shaped design or a contoured scraping edge that is smooth and non-sharp to prevent tongue trauma. Non-slip handles (silicone or textured metal) are essential for grip. For travel-ready sets, ensure the inclusion of a ventilated carrying case to prevent bacterial growth between uses.

Request a surface finish inspection to ensure there are no burrs or sharp edges from the molding or stamping process. Conduct a salt spray test report for metal scrapers to guarantee rust resistance. For branded goods, verify the laser-engraving precision of logos to ensure they do not fade after repeated sterilization.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of receipt. Always conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify quantity and quality match the Proforma Invoice.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for orders exceeding 5,000 units, aim for a 15-25% discount off the sample price. Negotiate for customized packaging (OEM) included in the unit price for high-volume orders. Ask for a 2-5% spare parts allowance for retail packaging that might get damaged during transit.

Since tongue scrapers are classified as medical/personal care tools, ensure the HS Code (typically 9603.21 or 7326.90) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. For shipping to the US or Europe, ensure the Country of Origin (COO) is clearly marked on each unit and the outer carton to comply with import regulations.

Sign a formal Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing custom designs or branding assets. Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on Made-in-China.com to ensure they are a verified manufacturer rather than an unauthorized middleman, reducing the risk of IP leakage.
