T5 led manufacturers

When evaluating T5 LED tubes, you must prioritize Luminous Efficacy, which should ideally be ≥130 lm/W for high-end industrial use. Pay close attention to the Driver Type (Isolated vs. Non-isolated); isolated drivers offer higher safety and stability. Additionally, verify the Color Rendering Index (CRI)—a CRI >80 is standard for offices, while CRI >90 is required for color-critical environments like printing shops or retail.

T5 LED tubes come in two main types: Plug-and-Play (Ballast Compatible) and Bypass (Direct Wire). For large-scale retrofitting, Bypass tubes are often preferred to eliminate future ballast failure points. Ensure the tube length is precise (e.g., 1149mm for a standard 4ft T5) and confirm if the pins are G5 base standard to avoid installation mismatches.

For the US market, look for UL/ETL listing for safety and DLC (DesignLights Consortium) qualification for energy rebates. For the European market, CE, RoHS, and ErP (Energy-related Products) certifications are mandatory. If sourcing for high-humidity environments, ensure an IP rating of at least IP65 for the integrated fixtures.

A high-quality T5 LED should have a rated lifespan of ≥50,000 hours (L70). This is heavily dependent on Thermal Management; look for tubes with an Aluminum Heat Sink or high-thermal conductivity PCB. Avoid all-plastic tubes for high-wattage applications as they dissipate heat poorly, leading to rapid lumen depreciation.

LED tubes are highly susceptible to bending and breakage. Require the supplier to use thickened cardboard tubes or honeycomb crate packaging. For bulk sea freight, ensure the pallets are shrink-wrapped and corner-protected. It is advisable to include a 1-2% spare parts allowance in the contract to cover potential transit damage.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order. Request a Full Test Report (IES files and LM-79/LM-80 reports) before discussing price. Professional buyers should negotiate Warranty Terms specifically—ensure the warranty covers freight costs for replacements within the first year to ensure the supplier is confident in their build quality.

Always check the supplier's Audit Report on Made-in-China.com to verify their factory scale and production capacity. Use Secured Trading Services to ensure payment is only released after the Bill of Lading (B/L) is uploaded or after a successful Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek.

Due to the long, thin dimensions of T5 tubes, they often incur 'Oversize' surcharges in air express (DHL/FedEx). For orders over 500 units, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is significantly more economical. If shipping to the US or Europe, consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms to simplify customs clearance and avoid unexpected anti-dumping duties on LED components.
