Synthetic filament yarn manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize Linear Density (Denier/Dtex), which determines the thickness and weight of the yarn. For high-performance applications, focus on Tenacity (cN/dtex) to ensure breaking strength and Elongation at Break for elasticity. Additionally, specify the Filament Count (F); a higher filament count generally results in a softer hand-feel and better drapability, whereas lower counts offer higher abrasion resistance.

It is critical to verify that the supplier holds OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, which guarantees the yarn is free from harmful substances. For recycled synthetic yarns (like rPET), request the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certificate to ensure traceability. For specific industrial uses, ensure compliance with ISO 2062 for yarn strength testing and ISO 105-B02 for colorfastness to light.

POY (Partially Oriented Yarn) is the base material for texturing; DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn) offers high bulkiness and a cotton-like feel, ideal for apparel; and FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) is high-strength and smooth, suitable for weaving and knitting ribbons or home textiles. Choosing the correct processing state is vital for your downstream manufacturing efficiency and final product texture.

Request a Lab Dip or a small sample to test for Dye Uniformity. Inconsistent molecular orientation during the spinning process can lead to 'barré' (striping) in the finished fabric. Ensure the supplier uses dope-dyed technology if you require superior colorfastness and environmental sustainability, as this integrates color directly into the polymer melt.

Implement a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) focusing on moisture regain and oil content. Synthetic yarns are sold by weight, and excessive moisture or spin finish oil can artificially inflate the weight and affect subsequent processing. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after quality verification.

Synthetic yarn prices are heavily influenced by crude oil and PTA/MEG market prices. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model for long-term contracts to reflect raw material fluctuations. For spot buys, leverage volume-based discounts; typically, ordering in Full Container Loads (FCL) can reduce unit costs by 5-10% compared to LCL due to lower logistics overhead.

Yarn cones are susceptible to physical deformation and moisture damage. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty corrugated pallets and shrink-wrap to prevent carton collapse. Specify that the containers must be clean and dry to avoid the 'container rain' effect, which can lead to mildew on the paper tubes or the yarn itself.

Check the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the Made-in-China.com platform. Look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone on-site verification by third-party agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. This confirms their production capacity, machinery types (e.g., Barmag or TMT equipment), and actual factory location.
