When sourcing adult products, the most critical factor is material biocompatibility. Ensure all products are made from medical-grade silicone, TPE, or phthalate-free PVC. You must verify that the items comply with REACH (EU) or FDA (US) standards for body-safe materials to avoid skin irritation or toxic leaching. Always request Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from the supplier.

Focus on battery longevity and motor noise levels. High-quality products should feature lithium-ion rechargeable batteries with a minimum of 2 hours of continuous use. Noise levels should ideally be below 50 decibels for discretion. Additionally, check for IPX7 waterproofing ratings, which allow for easy cleaning and use in diverse environments.

For electronic components, you must ensure the products carry CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications. These guarantee that the electronics are safe, do not interfere with other devices, and are free from hazardous substances. For the Japanese market, PSE certification is required, while UKCA is necessary for the United Kingdom.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM services. This includes customized logo printing, bespoke packaging design, and unique colorways. For ODM, you can request modifications to the vibration patterns or mold shapes, though this typically requires a higher Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), usually starting at 500 to 1,000 units.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the goods are received. Conduct a Supplier Audit or hire a third-party inspection agency to verify the factory's existence and production capacity before sending large deposits. Avoid direct wire transfers to personal bank accounts.

Adult products are often flagged as 'sensitive goods' by customs. Ensure the supplier uses discreet packaging (plain brown boxes with no suggestive labels). For products containing batteries, you must provide a UN38.3 test report and a PI967/PI966 certificate for air freight compliance. Be aware of local obscenity laws in the destination country to prevent customs seizures.

Start by requesting a sample order at a slightly higher unit price to verify quality. When moving to bulk, negotiate based on volume tiers (e.g., 100, 500, 1000 units). You can often secure a 5-10% discount by committing to a long-term purchasing plan or by paying a larger upfront deposit in exchange for a lower unit cost.

Due to high return shipping costs, it is rarely economical to send defective items back. Instead, negotiate a defective rate allowance (usually 1-2%) where the supplier provides extra units for free in each shipment. Alternatively, secure a written agreement for credit or refunds on the next order supported by video/photo evidence of the defects.
