Sun cream bottle manufacturers

Sun cream contains active chemical or mineral UV filters that can react with certain plastics. You should prioritize High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Polypropylene (PP) for their excellent chemical resistance. For premium brands, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) offers high transparency but requires a UV-blocking additive to prevent the sun cream formula from degrading when exposed to light. Always verify that the material is BPA-free and food-grade to ensure consumer safety.

The choice depends on the formula: for thick creams, squeeze tubes with flip-top caps are the industry standard due to cost-effectiveness and ease of use. For fluid lotions, lotion pumps with locking mechanisms are preferred to prevent leakage during travel. For sun oils or thin mists, fine mist sprayers are essential. Ensure the pump or sprayer has a dosage output of 0.2ml to 0.5ml per stroke to help consumers apply the correct amount for sun protection.

Packaging must comply with REACH (EU) or FDA (US) regulations regarding heavy metals and phthalates. If you are targeting the European market, ensure the supplier provides a Declaration of Compliance (DoC) for plastic materials in contact with cosmetic products. Additionally, check for ISO 22716 (GMP) certification from the manufacturer to guarantee that the packaging is produced in a clean, controlled environment to prevent microbial contamination.

Request the supplier to perform a vacuum leakage test (typically at -0.06MPa for 5 minutes). For sun cream, which is often carried in luggage, the bottle must feature a multi-layer thread design or an induction foil seal on the neck. High-quality suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually provide test reports for torque strength and drop tests (1.2m height) to ensure the bottle won't burst under pressure or impact.

Cosmetic bottles are prone to deformation due to pressure changes in air freight or heat in sea containers. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and the use of internal dividers (egg-crate packaging) to prevent bottles from rubbing against each other, which causes scratches. For bulk tube orders, ensure they are packed in neatly arranged trays rather than loose bags to maintain their shape.

Focus on tooling costs and sample lead times. If you require a custom shape, negotiate a mold fee rebate once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 50,000 units). Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) for final sign-off before the mass production begins to avoid discrepancies in color (Pantone matching) or printing quality (silk screen vs. hot stamping).

Utilize the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Do not release the full payment until a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) has verified the quantity and quality. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the Incoterms (e.g., FOB or CIF), detailed specifications, and the agreed-upon defect rate tolerance (usually <1.5%).

To align with global environmental policies, ask suppliers about PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastics or Bio-based PE (derived from sugarcane). Many top-tier manufacturers now offer monomaterial packaging (where the cap, pump, and bottle are all made of PP), which makes the entire unit 100% recyclable without disassembly, increasing your brand's appeal in eco-conscious markets.
