Stuffed panda manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize high-density PP cotton (polypropylene) for filling to ensure the plush maintains its shape and elasticity. The outer fabric should ideally be crystal super-soft plush or PV velvet, which offers a premium tactile experience. Ensure the materials are hypoallergenic and non-toxic, specifically checking for azo-free dyes to meet international safety requirements.

For the US market, products must comply with ASTM F963 and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), requiring a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC). For the EU, the EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) standard is essential, and the product must bear the CE mark. Always verify that the supplier can provide test reports from accredited third-party labs like SGS, ITS, or TUV.

Focus on the seam strength; a minimum of 8-10 stitches per inch is recommended to prevent tearing. For safety, 'safety eyes' (plastic eyes with washers) must withstand a tension test of at least 90N (approx. 9kg) to prevent choking hazards. Request a metal detection report for every batch to ensure no broken needles remain inside the stuffing.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer embroidery or silk-screen printing for logos. You should inquire about customized hangtags, woven labels, and vacuum packaging options. For high-end retail, discuss weighted beads (polyethylene pellets) in the base to allow the panda to sit upright, ensuring the beads are enclosed in an inner sealed bag.

Stuffed pandas are 'light cargo' and take up significant volume. You should negotiate for vacuum compression packaging, which can reduce the shipping volume by 50% to 70%. This significantly lowers the freight-to-value ratio. However, ensure the supplier uses high-resilience filling so the product recovers its shape quickly after unpacking.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after shipping confirmation. Before placing a bulk order, check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier and request a factory video audit or a live inspection of the production line to verify their actual manufacturing capacity versus a trading company.

Ensure the design does not infringe on copyrighted characters (e.g., Kung Fu Panda). If you are providing a custom design, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and an IP Protection Agreement. Confirm that the supplier has the right to export and that the design is considered 'generic' unless you hold the specific trademark.

Hire a third-party inspection agency to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) or a Final Random Inspection (FRI). The inspector should focus on the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) 2.5/4.0 standard, specifically checking for needle detection, seam security, and cleanliness of the plush fabric before the balance payment is made.
