Steel wire gloves manufacturers

When sourcing steel wire gloves, the primary focus should be on the material grade and weave density. Look for 316L stainless steel wire, which offers superior corrosion resistance and food-grade safety compared to standard 304 steel. The wire diameter (typically 0.5mm) and the ring diameter determine the balance between flexibility and protection. Ensure the gloves feature seamless welding technology at the ring joints to prevent skin irritation and structural failure under tension.

For B2B buyers, compliance is non-negotiable. The product must meet EN 1082-1 standards (Protective clothing - Gloves and arm guards protecting against cuts and stabs by hand knives). For the North American market, look for ANSI/ISEA Level A9 cut resistance. If the gloves are intended for food processing, verify FDA or EU 10/2011 food contact compliance to ensure no metallic contaminants migrate into the food chain.

The design should align with the specific application. For meat processing and slaughterhouses, gloves with extended cuffs (long sleeves) are necessary to protect the forearms. For textile or paper cutting, a standard wrist-length glove is usually sufficient. Always check for adjustable wrist straps (made of hygienic TPU or textile) to ensure a secure fit, and confirm if the design is ambidextrous to reduce inventory complexity and replacement costs.

While stainless steel mesh gloves have a higher initial unit cost, their durability and reusability make them more cost-effective than high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) gloves in high-risk environments. Evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in the lifespan; a high-quality steel glove can last several years with proper maintenance, whereas synthetic gloves may need replacement weekly.

Prioritize suppliers with the 'Audited Supplier' badge on Made-in-China.com. Request a live video inspection of their welding process and ask for third-party lab test reports (SGS or TUV) specifically for the batch you are ordering. Avoid suppliers who cannot provide a Material Traceability Report for the stainless steel wire used.

The main risk is oxidation or rusting during sea freight due to salt air exposure. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum packaging or anti-rust paper inside the inner boxes. For large orders, use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over the shipping agent and ensure the containers are kept in a dry, climate-controlled section of the vessel.

Negotiate based on volume-based pricing tiers. For orders exceeding 500 pieces, aim for a 15-20% discount off the sample price. Additionally, negotiate for spare parts (such as extra plastic tensioners or replacement straps) to be included at no extra cost, as these are the first components to wear out.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are only released after you confirm receipt and inspection of the goods. For first-time orders, consider a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by an independent agency.
