Statues manufacturers

For outdoor statues, prioritize bronze, granite, or high-grade marble due to their superior weather resistance and durability. If purchasing indoor decorative pieces, polyresin (cold-cast resin) offers intricate detail and cost-effectiveness, while stainless steel (304 or 316 grade) is ideal for modern, corrosion-resistant installations in humid environments or coastal areas.

Request high-definition videos and close-up photos focusing on the surface finish, facial symmetry, and joint transitions. For cast metal statues, ensure there are no visible casting pores or sand holes. For stone carvings, check for natural fissures or structural cracks that could compromise integrity during transit. Always ask for a pre-shipment inspection report from a third-party agency.

Ensure the products meet REACH or RoHS standards if they involve paints, coatings, or resins to confirm they are free from heavy metals like lead or cadmium. For wooden statues, a Fumigation Certificate is mandatory to prevent pest transfer. If the statue is a replica of a known work, ensure the supplier provides intellectual property (IP) authorization to avoid customs seizures.

Yes, professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically support OEM/ODM services. You should provide 3D files (STL or OBJ format) or CAD drawings. For large-scale projects, it is recommended to request a small-scale clay maquette or 3D-printed sample for approval before the final casting or carving process begins.

The biggest risks are structural breakage and surface abrasion. Insist on professional export packaging, which includes custom-fit foam molds, bubble wrap, and reinforced fumigated wooden crates. For oversized statues, ensure the supplier uses internal steel bracing within the crate to prevent shifting during sea freight.

Use Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. A standard B2B payment structure is 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). For high-value custom statues, consider milestone payments linked to production stages (e.g., clay mold completion, casting completion, and final polishing).

Statues usually fall under HS Code Chapter 97 (Works of Art) or Chapter 68/69/73/83 depending on the material. Correct classification is vital because original sculptures (9703.00) often enjoy duty-free or reduced tariff rates in many countries, whereas mass-produced decorative ornaments may attract higher duties.

For statues exceeding standard container dimensions, you must arrange for Flat Rack (FR) or Open Top (OT) containers. Ensure the supplier is experienced in sea-worthy lashing and securing. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance that covers the full invoice value plus 10% to mitigate losses from handling accidents.
