Squirt gun price manufacturers

The price of squirt guns is primarily driven by internal pressure mechanisms and material quality. Basic models use simple manual pump-action or trigger-pull systems, which are cost-effective. High-end models feature electric motorized pumps (rechargeable via USB) or constant pressure systems (CPS) that allow for longer shooting distances (up to 10-12 meters). Additionally, the use of thickened ABS plastic instead of recycled PP plastic increases the unit cost but ensures impact resistance and prevents leaking, which is a common quality issue in low-cost tiers.

As these are classified as toys, compliance is non-negotiable. For the US market, products must pass ASTM F963 and CPSIA (testing for lead and phthalates). For the EU, EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and CE Marking are mandatory. If the squirt gun is electric, it must also comply with EMC and RoHS directives. Buyers should ensure the supplier provides a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) to avoid customs seizures.

Pricing is highly sensitive to water tank capacity (measured in ml) and molding complexity. A standard 500ml pistol-style gun may cost between $0.50 - $1.50, whereas large-capacity 'backpack' styles (2000ml+) or licensed IP designs (e.g., cartoon characters) can range from $3.00 - $8.00. Custom OEM colors or private labeling typically require a higher MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) of 1,000 to 3,000 units to maintain a low unit price.

The most frequent risks include water leakage due to poor ultrasonic welding and battery failure in electric models. To mitigate this, buyers should request a leakage test report (vacuum testing) and ensure that electric components have waterproof sealing (IPX rating). Furthermore, ensure the product does not resemble real firearms; many countries require bright orange muzzles or transparent bodies to comply with 'imitation firearm' laws.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers. Ask for a 'sample-to-bulk' credit where the sample fee is refunded upon a full container order. Since squirt guns are seasonal products, negotiating off-season production (ordering in Q4 for Q2 delivery) can often result in a 5-10% discount. Always verify the supplier's Audit Report on Made-in-China.com to ensure they are a manufacturer rather than a middleman.

Squirt guns are high-volume, low-weight items, making them sensitive to volumetric weight charges. For bulk orders, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) is the only economically viable option. If the guns contain lithium batteries, they must be shipped as Class 9 Dangerous Goods, requiring specific packaging and UN38.3 test summaries. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for smooth customs clearance.
