Square table base price manufacturers

The price is primarily driven by material grade and weight. For commercial use, prioritize cast iron for stability or 304-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Ensure the base plate thickness is at least 8mm to prevent wobbling, and verify the column diameter (typically 60mm to 80mm) matches the intended tabletop size. A high-quality powder coating or brushed finish is essential to prevent rusting in high-traffic environments.

You must verify the top plate dimensions and mounting hole patterns. For square bases, the spread of the base should be at least 60-70% of the tabletop width to ensure structural balance. If you are using heavy materials like marble or granite, confirm the maximum load capacity (usually rated in kg) and ensure the base includes adjustable glides to level the table on uneven floors.

For the US market, ensure the product meets BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association) standards for safety and durability. For European markets, look for EN 15372:2016 compliance, which specifies requirements for the safety, strength, and durability of non-domestic tables. Additionally, ensure all metal treatments comply with REACH or RoHS to guarantee the absence of hazardous heavy metals in the finishes.

Investing in KD (Knock-Down) designs significantly reduces shipping volumes and logistics costs, improving economic feasibility. However, ensure the bolt-together mechanism uses reinforced steel threads to avoid stripping. Bases manufactured via die-casting offer better precision and aesthetic consistency compared to sand-casting, which may require more manual finishing and lead to higher defect rates in large batches.

The biggest risks are shipping damage (scratches/dents) and oxidation during sea transit. Demand heavy-duty 5-layer corrugated packaging and the use of desiccants inside polybags to prevent moisture buildup. Furthermore, verify the HS Code (typically 9403.90) to calculate accurate anti-dumping duties, which can be high for metal furniture parts in certain regions.

Focus on volume-based tiered pricing; for example, a 500-unit order can often reduce the unit price by 15-20% compared to the sample price. Negotiate for OEM branding (logo casting) to be included at no extra cost for large volumes. Use Trade Resources and verified supplier profiles on Made-in-China.com to benchmark prices against industry averages for raw cast iron or stainless steel.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio, LCL (Less than Container Load) or FCL (Full Container Load) sea freight is the only cost-effective method. Request the supplier to palletize the cargo to allow for mechanical unloading, which prevents handling damage. For urgent needs, consider sea-plus-truck (Matson/ZIM) routes which offer a balance between speed and cost compared to air freight.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to hold funds until delivery is confirmed. Hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should specifically check for wobble tests, finish uniformity, and salt spray test reports to ensure the bases won't corrode in coastal or humid environments.
