Scuba bag manufacturers

Prioritize bags made from heavy-duty 600D to 1680D ballistic nylon or PVC-coated mesh for maximum durability. Ensure the material is saltwater-resistant and features UV-protective coatings to prevent degradation from sun exposure. For dry bags, look for 500D Tarpaulin with high-frequency welded seams to ensure 100% waterproof performance.

Always specify corrosion-resistant YKK plastic zippers or marine-grade stainless steel sliders. Avoid standard metal zippers that corrode in salt air. Additionally, ensure the bag uses heavy-duty nylon webbing for straps and reinforced box-stitching at all stress points to handle the weight of heavy regulators and tanks.

A professional scuba bag must include drainage grommets or breathable mesh panels to allow wet gear to air dry and prevent mold. For travel-specific needs, look for all-terrain off-road wheels and a telescopic handle with a locking mechanism. Internal padded compartments are vital for protecting sensitive equipment like dive computers and regulators.

Ensure the manufacturer complies with REACH or RoHS standards to guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals in plastics and coatings. If the bag is intended for life-saving equipment storage, check for ISO 9001 quality management certification. For the US market, verify that materials are Prop 65 compliant regarding lead and phthalate content.

Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency to verify waterproof integrity and load-bearing capacity. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality checks. Always order a production-grade sample before committing to a bulk order to test the zipper smoothness and seam strength.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (like extra zipper sliders or buckles) to be included at no cost. For large volumes, ask for a tiered pricing structure where the price drops by 5-10% as you move from 500 to 2,000 units. Discuss OEM/ODM customization costs upfront to avoid hidden molding fees.

Scuba bags, especially roller bags, are high-volume items. To optimize costs, request flat-packed shipping to reduce the volumetric weight. Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons and moisture-absorbent silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent mildew during long sea transit. Confirm the HS Code (typically 4202.92) to accurately calculate import duties.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the platform. Use Incoterms 2020 (such as FOB or CIF) to clearly define the point of risk transfer. Stay updated on international trade tariffs between the sourcing country and your destination to avoid unexpected 'anti-dumping' duties on textile-based luggage products.
