Rosmarinic acid powder manufacturers

The primary indicator is the purity level (assay), typically ranging from 5% to 98% depending on the extraction method. High-quality powder should be standardized via HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) to ensure active ingredient consistency. Additionally, pay attention to solubility (water or ethanol) and particle size (mesh count), as these affect the final formulation's stability and absorption.

While found in many plants, commercial Rosmarinic Acid is primarily extracted from Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), and Perilla. Rosemary-derived acid is often preferred for its antioxidant stability in food and cosmetic applications, whereas Perilla-derived versions are frequently used in nutraceuticals for their specific polyphenol profiles.

For the US market, ensure the supplier provides GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) documentation or FDA facility registration. For the EU, compliance with EFSA regulations and REACH is essential. Globally, reputable suppliers should hold ISO 22000, HACCP, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certifications to guarantee the product is free from heavy metals, pesticide residues, and microbial contamination.

Rosmarinic Acid is sensitive to light, heat, and moisture. It should be stored in double-layered food-grade PE bags inside fiber drums. For high-purity extracts (90%+), vacuum packaging or aluminum foil bags are required to prevent oxidation. Ensure the storage environment is cool, dry, and dark to maintain a shelf life of typically 24 months.

Always request a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the specific batch you are purchasing. Cross-reference the results with third-party testing from recognized labs like SGS, Eurofins, or Intertek. On Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone on-site inspections to mitigate the risk of falsified documentation.

Avoid focusing solely on the lowest price per kilogram. Low prices often indicate adulteration with synthetic antioxidants or lower-than-claimed active ingredient content. Negotiate based on 'Price per Active Unit' and request a pre-shipment sample that is sealed and signed to serve as a quality benchmark for the bulk order.

Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Non-Hazardous Chemical Declaration to avoid customs delays. For cross-border logistics, use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle complex customs clearance, or FOB if you have a reliable freight forwarder experienced in handling phytochemicals.

Utilize secure payment escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of delivery. Additionally, consider a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify the quantity and packaging integrity before the balance payment is made.
