Plush dolphin manufacturers

You should prioritize super-soft crystal velvet or high-grade PV plush for the outer fabric to ensure a premium tactile experience. For the filling, 100% PP cotton (polypropylene) is the industry standard for maintaining shape and elasticity. Ensure the material is hypoallergenic and free from recycled fibers to prevent odors and skin irritation.

Compliance is critical as these are often classified as children's products. For the US market, products must meet ASTM F963 and CPSIA standards. For the EU, EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and CE Marking are mandatory. Always request a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) or a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) from the supplier before finalizing the order.

Request a tension test report for 'small parts' like plastic eyes or fins; these must withstand a pull force of at least 90 Newtons to prevent choking hazards. Additionally, ensure the supplier uses double-stitch reinforcement on seams and performs a metal detection scan on every unit to ensure no broken needles remain inside the plush.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom embroidery logos, private labeling (woven tags), and bespoke sizing ranging from 10cm (keychain size) to 200cm (giant plush). You can also specify vacuum packaging to significantly reduce shipping volume and costs.

Always order a pre-production sample and use a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or SGS) to conduct a During Production (DUPRO) or Final Random Inspection (FRI). Focus on checking the weight consistency, seam strength, and symmetry of the dolphin's features.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 2000, and 5000 units) and inquire if the mold/plate fee for custom logos can be waived if the order exceeds a certain value. On Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' to ensure you are dealing with a factory rather than a middleman.

Plush toys are 'light cargo,' meaning you are often charged by volumetric weight. To optimize costs, request high-compression vacuum packing. For large orders, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended so you have control over the sea freight costs, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for smaller batches to avoid customs clearance complexities.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the shipping documents are verified. Avoid direct wire transfers to private bank accounts; always ensure the beneficiary name matches the corporate name on the business license.
