Peugeot boxer engine manufacturers

Buyers must first identify the specific Engine Code (e.g., 2.2 HDi, 2.0 BlueHDi, or 3.0 HDi) and the Euro Emission Standard (Euro 4, 5, or 6) to ensure compatibility. It is critical to confirm the Horsepower (HP/kW) rating and whether the engine is supplied as a 'Long Block' (including cylinder head and block) or a 'Complete Engine' (including turbo, injectors, and fuel pump). For remanufactured units, verify that OEM-quality bearings, pistons, and seals were used during the assembly process.

Request a Compression Test Report and, if possible, a Video of the Engine Running on a test bench. For used or reconditioned engines, check the Mileage Verification and look for suppliers who offer a Warranty Period of at least 6 to 12 months. Ensure the supplier follows ISO 9001 standards for automotive parts remanufacturing to guarantee that tolerances meet original factory specifications.

The engine must comply with the destination country's environmental regulations. For the EU, ensure the engine meets Euro 6 standards for newer models to avoid registration issues. Additionally, check for CE marking or E-mark certification where applicable. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide SGS or TÜV Rheinland inspection reports to validate the technical condition and authenticity of the engine components.

As a primary choice for Commercial Logistics and Motorhomes, these engines endure high-stress cycles. To maximize lifespan, buyers should advise end-users to use Low SAPS synthetic oil (specifically meeting PSA B71 2290 or 2312 standards) to protect the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Regular inspection of the Timing Belt/Chain kit and the Turbocharger lubrication line is essential to prevent catastrophic failure.

The biggest risks are Core Damage during transit and Non-compatibility. Mitigate these by using Custom-built Wooden Crates with internal shock absorption. Always use Secure Payment Terms such as those offered through Made-in-China.com’s escrow services, which ensure funds are only released after the buyer confirms the goods match the technical description.

Focus on the Core Exchange Policy; since returning old engines internationally is costly, negotiate a 'No-Core-Return' surcharge waiver for bulk purchases. Ask for Tiered Pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% for orders exceeding 5 units. Additionally, request a Spare Parts Kit (gaskets, filters, sensors) to be included at a discounted rate to add value to your inventory.

Engines are classified as Dangerous Goods (UN3166) if they contain residual fuel or oil. Ensure the supplier provides a Non-Hazardous Declaration by thoroughly draining all fluids and cleaning the unit. For shipping to Europe or South America, utilize Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) to manage costs, and ensure the HS Code (840820) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays and optimize import duties.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have a history of exporting to your specific region. Check their Business License, factory photos, and Export Experience in the automotive sector. A credible supplier will be transparent about the Source of the Engine (e.g., salvaged, refurbished, or new aftermarket) and provide clear After-sales Support protocols for technical troubleshooting.
