Pe raincoat manufacturers

When sourcing PE (Polyethylene) raincoats, the most critical factor is material thickness, usually measured in millimeters (mm) or microns. For disposable/emergency use, a thickness of 0.015mm to 0.025mm is standard. For semi-reusable or heavy-duty versions (often LDPE), look for 0.03mm and above. Additionally, verify if the material is 100% virgin PE to ensure better tensile strength and transparency compared to recycled materials which may have an odor or lower tear resistance.

For the US market, ensure the product is CPSIA compliant (especially regarding lead and phthalates if intended for children). For the EU, CE marking and compliance with REACH regulations are essential to ensure the plasticizers used are non-toxic. If the raincoat is marketed as 'Professional Protective Equipment' (PPE), it must meet EN 343 standards for water penetration and water vapor resistance.

Focus on the seam construction. High-quality PE raincoats utilize heat-sealing technology rather than stitching to ensure 100% waterproof performance. Request a hydrostatic pressure test report to confirm the water resistance level. For bulk orders, check the pull-strength of the hood strings and snap buttons (if applicable), as these are common failure points in low-cost production.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer OEM services including custom logo printing (silk screen or heat transfer), Pantone color matching, and bespoke packaging (e.g., individual pouches, balls, or card inserts). For promotional items, consider compressed packaging to reduce shipping volume and costs.

The primary risk is 'thickness thinning,' where the mass-produced goods are thinner than the sample. To prevent this, specify the net weight per piece in the contract. A weight deviation of more than 3-5% should trigger a re-inspection. Always hire a third-party inspection service to perform an AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) test before the final balance payment is made.

Since PE is a petroleum-based product, prices fluctuate with raw material resin costs. Negotiate a price adjustment clause based on market indices if placing long-term blanket orders. Furthermore, leverage packaging volume; asking the supplier to optimize the folding method can significantly increase container loading capacity, effectively lowering your landed cost per unit.

PE raincoats are lightweight but can be bulky. Use vacuum compression packaging to minimize 'dead space' in containers. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled (5-layer corrugated) to prevent crushing during sea freight stacking. For shipping to high-tariff regions, consult with your supplier on Made-in-China.com regarding the correct HS Code (typically 3926.20) to ensure accurate customs duty calculation.

Always utilize secure payment systems provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts. Use Letter of Credit (L/C) for very large volumes or Escrow-based trade terms where the payment is only released to the supplier after you provide the Bill of Lading (B/L) or inspection clearance.
