One ply blanket manufacturers

Buyers should focus on the GSM (Grams per Square Meter), which typically ranges from 150 to 350 GSM for one ply blankets. Common materials include 100% Polyester (Flannel, Raschel, or Polar Fleece). Ensure the fabric has undergone anti-pilling and anti-static treatments to enhance durability and user comfort. For high-end markets, verify if the edges are overlocked, hemmed, or finished with a satin border to prevent fraying.

To ensure market access, products must meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for chemical safety. For the U.S. market, compliance with CPSIA (for children's products) and flammability standards (16 CFR Part 1610) is essential. EU buyers should ensure the supplier adheres to REACH regulations regarding AZO dyes and heavy metals. Always request valid test reports from accredited third-party labs like SGS or Intertek.

Perform a hand-feel test to check for softness and fiber density. Conduct a pull test to check for shedding; high-quality one ply blankets should have minimal fiber loss. Check the colorfastness to washing (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure the dyes do not bleed. Additionally, verify the dimensional stability to ensure the blanket does not shrink more than 3-5% after the first wash.

One ply blankets are versatile for airline travel, hospitality (hotels), promotional gifts, and disaster relief. Customization options include rotary screen printing, digital printing, or embossed patterns. For branding, suppliers on Made-in-China.com often offer custom woven labels, PVC bag packaging with inserts, and vacuum compression to reduce shipping volume.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of receipt. Always conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector to verify the supplier's production capacity and business license before transferring large deposits.

Blanket pricing is highly sensitive to raw material (polyester) market fluctuations. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure based on volume; for example, a 15-20% discount is common when moving from a 500-unit MOQ to a 5,000-unit order. Clarify if the price is FOB (Free On Board) to avoid unexpected local port charges.

Since blankets are high-volume but relatively low-weight, vacuum packaging is critical to reduce the CBM (Cubic Meter). For large orders, Sea Freight (FCL - Full Container Load) is the most economical. For urgent samples or small trial orders, International Express (DHL/FedEx) is preferred, but ensure you calculate the volumetric weight to avoid overpaying.

Include a Quality Agreement in your contract that specifies the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL 2.5/4.0). If defects are found, provide photographic and video evidence immediately. Reputable suppliers will offer replacements in the next shipment or a pro-rata refund for the defective units.
