Neck cooler manufacturers

Neck coolers generally utilize three main technologies: Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) using Peltier chips for active refrigeration, High-speed Centrifugal Fans for evaporative cooling, and Phase Change Materials (PCM) which absorb heat as they melt. For B2B buyers, TEC-based models are currently the most popular for high-end markets due to their ability to lower skin temperature by 10-15°C instantly.

Ensure the device uses Lithium-polymer batteries with a capacity between 4000mAh and 6000mAh to guarantee 6-10 hours of continuous use. Crucially, the product must feature NTC intelligent temperature control to prevent skin burns and overcharge/short-circuit protection. Verify that the battery cells have UN38.3 and MSDS certifications for safe international transport.

For the US market, products must be FCC certified for electromagnetic interference and meet UL2054 or UL1642 standards for battery safety. For the EU market, CE marking (EMC and LVD directives) and RoHS compliance (restriction of hazardous substances) are mandatory. If the product includes a charging adapter, it must also meet ERP energy efficiency requirements.

Look for adjustable U-shaped designs made from skin-friendly silicone or ABS with a soft-touch coating to prevent neck strain. The weight should ideally be kept under 350g. For industrial or outdoor use scenarios, prioritize models with IPX4 water resistance to protect against sweat and light rain.

The biggest risks include battery degradation during long-term storage and inconsistent cooling performance across batches. To mitigate this, require the supplier to provide a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) report focusing on battery cycle tests and noise level decibel checks (should be <45dB for premium models).

Focus on tiered pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order. Request OEM/ODM customization (such as logo silk-screening or custom packaging) to be included in the unit price for orders exceeding 1,000 units. Always ask for a 1% spare parts allowance (extra units or components) to cover potential DOA (Dead on Arrival) items.

Neck coolers are classified as Dangerous Goods (Class 9) if the battery is integrated. You must ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. For cost-efficiency, Sea Freight (LCL) is recommended for bulk orders, but ensure the warehouse uses temperature-controlled environments to prevent battery swelling during transit.
