I have found results from600+products and200+suppliers aboutMarble epoxy resin
When evaluating Marble Epoxy Resin, you must prioritize viscosity, UV resistance, and shore hardness. For marble repair or coating, a low viscosity (500-1000 cps) is ideal for deep penetration into stone pores, while a high shore hardness (Shore D >80) ensures the surface is scratch-resistant. Additionally, ensure the resin features HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) to prevent yellowing over time, especially for white or light-colored marble.
As a chemical product, Marble Epoxy Resin must comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) for the EU market and TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) for the US. Furthermore, a valid MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and UN3082 (Environmentally Hazardous Substance) classification are essential for legal cross-border logistics and customs clearance.
Request a Third-Party Lab Test Report (SGS or Intertek) focusing on tensile strength, heat deflection temperature (HDT), and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions. It is highly recommended to order a 5kg sample kit to conduct a 'yellowing test' under UV lamps and a 'curing time test' at your local ambient temperature to ensure the product matches your specific environmental conditions.
Marble Epoxy Resin is primarily used for stone reinforcement, crack filling, and countertop coating. For industrial stone processing, the resin must have a fast curing time (2-4 hours) to maintain production efficiency. For decorative 'river tables' or thick pours, you must specify a slow-cure formula to prevent exothermic reactions (overheating) which can lead to cracking or bubbles.
Epoxy resin is often classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods due to its liquid chemical nature. You must ensure the supplier provides UN-certified packaging to prevent leakage. For shipping to countries with strict environmental laws, verify that the HS Code (typically 390730) is correctly declared to avoid heavy fines or shipment seizures at customs.
Utilize Trade Terms like FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over the main carriage and insurance. When sourcing from Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections. Use Secured Payment services to ensure funds are only released once the Bill of Lading (B/L) or inspection report is verified.
Negotiate based on volume-based pricing tiers; typically, a 20ft container load can reduce the per-kilogram price by 15-25% compared to LCL (Less than Container Load) orders. Also, negotiate for free replacement of damaged goods during transit and request a shelf-life guarantee of at least 12 months for the resin and hardener.
Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or India) may impose on epoxy resins originating from specific countries. Always check the latest tariff schedules for your specific country to calculate the Total Landed Cost, including customs duties and VAT, before finalizing the purchase agreement.
