Mango fruit powder manufacturers

The two primary technologies are Spray Drying and Freeze Drying (Lyophilization). Spray drying is more cost-effective and results in a fine, highly soluble powder, but may lose some heat-sensitive nutrients. Freeze drying preserves the original flavor, color, and nutritional profile (like Vitamin C) much better but comes at a higher price point. Buyers should choose based on whether the end application is a budget-friendly beverage mix or a premium health supplement.

Buyers must verify the solubility, moisture content (typically <5%), and mesh size (fineness). Ensure the product has no added artificial colors or preservatives if marketing as 'Natural'. Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to check for heavy metals (Lead, Arsenic) and microbiological limits (Total Plate Count, Yeast, and Mold) to ensure food safety.

For global trade, suppliers should ideally hold ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications for food safety management. If exporting to the US, FDA registration is required; for the EU, compliance with EFSA regulations and REACH (if applicable) is necessary. Additionally, Halal or Kosher certifications can significantly expand your market reach in specific regions.

Fruit Juice Powder is usually made from clarified juice and is 100% water-soluble, making it ideal for clear drinks. Fruit Pulp Powder contains fiber and insoluble solids, providing a thicker mouthfeel and more 'authentic' fruit texture, which is better suited for bakery fillings, smoothies, or yogurts.

A common risk in the powder industry is the addition of excessive Maltodextrin as a carrier without disclosure. To prevent this, specify the fruit solids percentage in the contract and use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services. Request a pre-shipment sample from the mass production batch and consider a third-party inspection (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the purity before final payment.

Mango powder is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture easily). Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags inside rigid fiber drums. For cross-border shipping, specify cool and dry container conditions. Avoid shipping during peak humidity seasons without desiccants in the packaging, as clumping (caking) can render the product unsellable.

Leverage the tiered pricing model; typically, orders over 500kg to 1 ton see a price reduction of 10-15%. If you are a first-time buyer, negotiate a smaller trial MOQ (e.g., 25kg/one drum) to test the market. Always clarify Incoterms (FOB vs CIF) early, as fluctuating sea freight costs can significantly impact the landed cost of food ingredients.

Always communicate through official channels and verify the supplier's Business License and Export Permit. Use Audit Reports available on Made-in-China.com to check if the supplier is a 'Gold Member' or a 'Verified Supplier'. Avoid using private transfer methods; stick to Escrow-based payment systems or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large-scale bulk transactions to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment.
