Lottery card price manufacturers

When evaluating lottery card quality, focus on security features and material durability. Ensure the cards use high-opacity black-core paper (250-350gsm) to prevent light penetration (candling). The scratch-off coating must be opaque enough to hide data but soft enough to be removed without damaging the underlying information. Additionally, verify the use of variable data printing (VDP) for unique serial numbers and QR codes to ensure each card is traceable and secure.

Security is the primary cost driver. Advanced features like UV fluorescent inks, micro-printing, and holographic overlays significantly increase the difficulty of counterfeiting. For high-stakes cards, look for suppliers who offer overprint patterns on the scratch-off area, which prevents sophisticated scanning techniques. Encryption of the underlying database is also a critical non-physical specification you must confirm with the manufacturer.

Buyers must ensure the manufacturer holds ISO 9001 for quality management and, ideally, ISO 27001 for information security. Since lottery cards are often handled by children or kept in close contact, materials should be non-toxic and comply with EN71-3 or REACH standards. If the cards are for a regulated gaming market, the supplier should demonstrate experience with GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) standards or local gambling commission requirements.

To achieve the best price-to-quality ratio, aim for economies of scale, as the setup cost for specialized security printing is high; orders above 50,000 units typically see a 40% reduction in unit price. Choosing standard sizes (e.g., 2x4 inches) and standard paper weights reduces material waste. Additionally, sourcing from integrated factories on Made-in-China.com that handle both printing and coating in-house can eliminate middleman markups.

The biggest risk is legal and customs seizure. Many countries have strict regulations regarding 'gambling paraphernalia.' You must ensure your shipping documents clearly state the intended use (e.g., promotional tool, scratch-and-win, or educational). Another risk is data leakage; ensure the supplier has a strict data destruction policy for the variable codes used during production.

Always request a pre-production sample that includes the functional scratch-off layer. Use Secured Payment terms or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes. Demand a Third-Party Inspection before the final balance is paid, specifically to test the scratch-off opacity and code readability. Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide audit reports to verify their factory's security protocols.

Lottery cards are heavy and dense, making Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) the most economical choice for bulk orders. To prevent moisture damage during transit, insist on vacuum-sealed plastic packaging and heavy-duty corrugated boxes with palletization. For urgent promotional launches, Air Freight is viable but will significantly increase your landed cost per unit.
