Led light product manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Luminous Efficacy (lm/W), aiming for at least 130-150 lm/W to ensure energy efficiency. Additionally, check the Color Rendering Index (CRI); a CRI > 80 is standard for general use, while CRI > 90 is essential for retail or gallery spaces. The driver brand (e.g., MeanWell, Philips, or Lifud) is the most critical component for longevity, as the driver usually fails before the LEDs themselves. Ensure the heat sink is made of high-grade aluminum to prevent thermal decay.

For the US market, products must have UL or ETL listing for safety and DLC (DesignLights Consortium) or Energy Star certification for utility rebates. For the European market, CE (LVD/EMC) and RoHS are mandatory, while ErP (Energy-related Products) directives govern efficiency labels. If you are sourcing for outdoor or industrial environments, ensure an IP65 or IP67 rating for water/dust resistance and an IK08-IK10 rating for impact protection.

Do not rely solely on marketing brochures. Request LM-80 reports for the LED chips (which measure lumen maintenance over time) and TM-21 reports which project long-term life based on LM-80 data. A reputable supplier on Made-in-China.com should also provide IES files for photometric simulation and ISTMT (In-Situ Temperature Measurement Test) reports to prove the LEDs operate within safe thermal limits.

Professional suppliers should offer CCT (Color Temperature) tuning (e.g., 3000K to 6000K), dimming compatibility (0-10V, DALI, or Triac), and beam angle adjustments via interchangeable lenses. For smart city or office projects, verify if the supplier can integrate Zigbee, Bluetooth Mesh, or PIR sensors into the fixtures.

Implement a strict sampling protocol. Before the main production run, pay for a Golden Sample that will serve as the quality benchmark. Use third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI). Specifically, instruct inspectors to perform a hi-pot test, a functionality test, and an earth continuity test to ensure electrical safety.

LED prices are heavily influenced by the cost of raw materials (aluminum and copper) and chip brand. Request a price breakdown to see the cost of the driver, chips, and housing separately. For payment, use Secure Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. For long-term partners, aim for 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

LED panels and long linear lights are prone to bending or cracking. Insist on 5-layer corrugated outer cartons and EPE foam internal packaging. For sea freight, ensure the supplier uses pallets with plastic wrap to prevent moisture ingress and facilitate mechanical unloading. For high-value smart lighting, consider air freight to reduce the vibration and handling risks associated with long sea voyages.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) or specific Section 301 tariffs (for US buyers) that may apply to Chinese LED products. Always verify the HS Code (typically 940540 or 940542) with your customs broker before ordering. Ask your supplier to provide a Certificate of Origin (CO) or Form E/Form F to take advantage of any applicable Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that could reduce import duties.
