Laboratory drying rack price manufacturers

When sourcing laboratory drying racks, the material is the most critical factor for durability. High-grade Polypropylene (PP) is the industry standard due to its excellent chemical resistance and anti-corrosive properties. For heavy-duty or high-temperature environments, 304 or 316 Stainless Steel is preferred. Ensure the pegs are made of high-impact polystyrene or PP to prevent breakage when holding heavy glassware like Erlenmeyer flasks or graduated cylinders.

A professional drying rack must feature a built-in drainage hole and a sloped collection tray to prevent stagnant water, which can lead to bacterial growth. Look for detachable peg designs, which allow for customizable spacing to accommodate various sizes of labware. Wall-mounted versions are ideal for space-saving, while double-sided benchtop models are better for high-volume central labs.

Buyers should prioritize suppliers who hold ISO 9001 certification for quality management. Since these racks are used in controlled environments, verify that the materials are SEFA (Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association) compliant. If the rack is intended for medical or food-grade labs, ensure the materials are non-toxic and REACH/RoHS compliant to avoid chemical leaching.

The price of a laboratory drying rack is primarily driven by size (number of pegs) and material grade. A standard 27-peg PP rack typically ranges from $20 to $50 USD, whereas large stainless steel industrial racks can exceed $150 USD. Bulk discounts are common on platforms like Made-in-China.com, where purchasing 50+ units can reduce the unit price by 15-25%.

Laboratory drying racks, especially those with fixed pegs, are prone to snapping during transit. Insist on reinforced 5-layer corrugated cardboard packaging and EPE foam cushioning. For large orders, request palletization with shrink wrap to ensure stability. Always clarify the incoterms; CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is recommended for new buyers to ensure the goods are insured against maritime risks.

Focus on long-term partnership potential rather than just the initial price. Ask for a sample unit first to test the peg strength and drainage efficiency. On Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone third-party onsite inspections. Negotiate for spare pegs (usually 5-10% extra) to be included in the bulk order at no additional cost to cover future wear and tear.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by reputable platforms to ensure your payment is only released to the supplier after you confirm receipt and inspection. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. For large-scale laboratory fit-outs, consider a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to maintain financial leverage.
