Kcl manufacturers

Potassium Chloride (KCL) is categorized into three main grades: Agriculture Grade (MOP), Industrial/Technical Grade, and Food/Pharmaceutical Grade. For fertilizers, look for 60% K2O content in granular or powder form. For industrial applications like oil drilling or metal processing, ensure a purity level of 98% or higher. If you are in the food or medical sector, the product must strictly adhere to FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) or USP/BP standards to ensure safety and low heavy metal content.

Key parameters include purity (KCl content), moisture content (typically <0.5%), and particle size distribution. For oil and gas drilling fluids, solubility speed and the absence of insoluble matter are vital. You should request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to verify that sodium (Na) and magnesium (Mg) impurities are within your required thresholds, as these can affect chemical reactions.

KCL is generally classified as non-hazardous, but it must comply with REACH regulations for the EU market. Suppliers should provide a comprehensive Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). For food-grade KCL, look for ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications. Ensure the packaging meets international maritime dangerous goods (IMDG) standards if the product is treated as a chemical, even if non-toxic, to avoid customs delays.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party verification by agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Check for ISO 9001 certification to ensure consistent quality management. Review the supplier's export history and production capacity (e.g., monthly output in metric tons) to ensure they can handle your volume requirements without compromising on lead times.

The most significant risks include moisture absorption (caking) during sea transit and purity fraud. To mitigate this, insist on moisture-proof packaging (such as PE-lined PP woven bags) and utilize third-party pre-shipment inspections (PSI) to verify the chemical composition before the balance payment is made.

KCL pricing is highly sensitive to global potash market fluctuations. Negotiate based on Incoterms 2020 (FOB vs. CIF) and seek volume-based discounts (typically 5-10% for orders over 100 tons). For long-term contracts, try to lock in a fixed price for a specific duration to protect against market volatility.

KCL is hygroscopic; therefore, it should be shipped in 25kg or 50kg bags, or 1,000kg jumbo bags for industrial use. Ensure the shipping container is dry and free of contaminants. For large volumes, bulk vessel shipping is more cost-effective than containerization, but requires stricter port-side moisture control.

Use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are only released after you confirm receipt of the goods. Avoid direct transfers to private accounts. Always verify the supplier's business license and ensure the bank account name matches the registered company name.
