Iron net price manufacturers

When sourcing iron nets, you must prioritize wire diameter (gauge) and mesh size. For industrial or security use, a thicker gauge (e.g., BWG 12-14) ensures structural integrity. Additionally, verify the tensile strength of the wire; high-tensile options are essential for agricultural fencing to withstand animal impact. For welded wire mesh, ensure the welding point strength is tested to prevent detachment under pressure.

Surface treatment is the primary factor in corrosion resistance. Hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) coating offers the best durability for outdoor use, typically providing 20-50g/m² or even up to 300g/m² of zinc coating depending on the environment. Electro-galvanized options are cheaper but prone to rust. For aesthetic and extra protection, PVC or PE coating is recommended, but you must ensure the coating thickness is consistent to avoid peeling.

Buyers should ensure products meet ASTM A123 (for hot-dip galvanizing) or EN 10223 (for steel wire and wire products for fencing). If the product is for construction, ISO 9001 certification of the manufacturer is a baseline requirement to ensure consistent quality control and traceability of raw materials.

To maximize value, calculate the price per square meter vs. price per ton. Often, buying in full container loads (FCL) significantly reduces the unit shipping cost, as iron nets are heavy and high-density. Negotiate bulk discounts for orders exceeding 500 rolls, and consider custom roll lengths to minimize on-site cutting waste for your end-users.

The most frequent risk is specification mismatch, where the delivered wire gauge is thinner than the sample. To mitigate this, use third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to measure the wire diameter with micrometers before shipment. Another risk is oxidation during sea transit; ensure the supplier uses waterproof packaging and moisture-proof pallets.

Focus on transparency regarding raw material costs. Since iron prices fluctuate, ask for a price validity period (e.g., 7 days). Request a breakdown of the zinc coating weight and wire grade. For long-term partnerships, negotiate staggered payment terms (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% against B/L) to protect your cash flow.

Iron nets are heavy and can easily damage other cargo. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced wooden pallets or steel crates for LCL shipments. For FCL, verify the weight limit of the destination port; often, a 20GP container is more cost-effective than a 40HQ because the weight limit is reached before the volume limit.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels and verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on Made-in-China.com. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some countries (like the US or EU) may impose on specific steel products from certain regions; always check your local HS Code (typically 7314) tariff rates before finalizing the order.
