Iraqi thobe manufacturers

For high-quality Iraqi Thobes, prioritize polyester-viscose blends or 100% spun polyester for durability and wrinkle resistance. In summer, lightweight fabrics (120-150 GSM) are essential for breathability, while winter versions require heavier wool-blend fabrics. Ensure the fabric has a high colorfastness rating (Grade 4 or above) to prevent fading under intense sunlight.

The Iraqi Dishdasha often features a wider cut compared to the Saudi style and frequently includes a distinctive collar design (often rounded or with specific button placements). When sourcing, specify the neckline embroidery patterns and ensure the sleeve length and cuff style (buttoned vs. open) align with local Iraqi market preferences. Request reinforced stitching at the pockets and side slits to handle daily wear.

Ensure the supplier adheres to ISO 9001 for quality management and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to guarantee the absence of harmful substances in dyes. For bulk shipments, verify that the products meet Saso or regional equivalent standards for textile strength and pilling resistance. Always request a pre-production sample to verify the 'drape' and 'hand-feel' of the fabric.

Key functional attributes include anti-static treatments and moisture-wicking capabilities. For premium lines, look for stain-resistant finishes. The construction must include high-quality interlining in the collar and cuffs to maintain shape after multiple industrial or home washes. Ensure the buttons are heat-resistant and securely attached with a cross-stitch method.

Utilize Made-in-China.com's 'Audit Reports' to verify the supplier's factory scale and production capacity. Always use Secure Payment services to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Random Final Inspection (FRI) before the goods leave the factory.

Negotiate based on fabric weight and yarn count rather than just 'per piece' to ensure transparency. For custom embroidery designs, expect a higher MOQ (typically 500-1000 pieces), but you can negotiate a lower MOQ for 'ready-to-ship' stock in standard colors like white, cream, or grey. Ask for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% as volume doubles.

For large volumes, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) is the most economical, typically taking 20-30 days to reach major ports like Umm Qasr. For urgent seasonal demands (e.g., before Ramadan), Air Freight is faster but significantly more expensive. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin and detailed Packing Lists to facilitate smooth customs clearance and avoid delays at the border.

Strictly follow Incoterms 2020; FOB (Free On Board) is generally preferred for buyers who have their own freight forwarders, while CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is better for beginners. Ensure all communication and contracts are documented within the Made-in-China.com messaging system to provide an audit trail in case of disputes regarding material quality or delivery timelines.
