Human eye model manufacturers

A high-quality model should feature removable parts such as the cornea, iris, lens, and vitreous body. Ensure the model accurately depicts the sclera, choroid, and retina, including the macula and optic nerve. For educational purposes, look for models that are 3x to 6x enlarged to allow for clear visualization of internal structures.

Prioritize models made from high-quality PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), which is non-toxic, durable, and easy to clean. The base should be sturdy and weighted to prevent tipping during demonstrations. Ensure the paint is eco-friendly and hand-painted for anatomical precision, as machine-painted models often lack the detail required for medical training.

Suppliers should ideally hold ISO 9001 for quality management. For the European market, ensure the product has a CE mark, and for the US, check for FDA registration if the model is classified as a medical training device. Additionally, verify that the materials comply with REACH or RoHS standards to ensure the absence of hazardous substances.

For patient education, choose models with magnetic connections for easy assembly/disassembly. For university-level anatomy, look for models that include numbered parts and a corresponding key manual. If the model is for ophthalmic surgery training, ensure it includes detailed representations of the extraocular muscles and blood vessels.

Request the supplier to use custom-molded foam packaging rather than generic bubble wrap. Since eye models often have delicate internal lenses, double-wall corrugated boxes are essential. On Made-in-China.com, you can utilize Secured Trading Services to ensure the goods meet your quality and packaging requirements before the final payment is released.

Start by requesting a sample order to verify the anatomical accuracy and material feel. When discussing bulk orders, negotiate based on tiered pricing (e.g., 50, 100, and 500 units). Ask for OEM/ODM capabilities if you require custom branding or specific pathological features (like cataracts or glaucoma) added to the model.

Check the HS Code (typically 9023.00) for 'Instruments, apparatus and models, designed for demonstrational purposes'. Verify if your country offers duty exemptions for educational materials. Ensure the Commercial Invoice and Packing List clearly state 'For Educational Use Only' to avoid misclassification as medical diagnostic equipment, which may carry higher tariffs.

Always verify the supplier's Audit Report on Made-in-China.com, which confirms their factory location, production capacity, and business legitimacy. Use Escrow-based payment methods and avoid direct wire transfers to unverified personal accounts. Conduct a third-party pre-shipment inspection to confirm the quantity and quality match the Proforma Invoice.
