Hospital uniform set manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize fabrics that balance comfort with durability. The industry standard is a Polyester-Cotton blend (typically 65/35 or 55/45) or Polyester-Rayon-Spandex for 'stretch' scrubs. Ensure the fabric weight is between 170-210 GSM to prevent transparency while maintaining breathability. Key functional treatments should include antimicrobial finishes (silver ion technology), fluid resistance, and wrinkle-resistant properties to ensure a professional appearance throughout long shifts.

For medical environments, uniforms must adhere to strict safety standards. Verify that the supplier complies with ISO 13688:2013 for general protective clothing. If the uniforms are intended for surgical environments, they may need to meet EN 13795 or AAMI PB70 levels for liquid barrier performance. Additionally, ensure the dyes used are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified to guarantee the absence of harmful substances, which is critical for skin-contact textiles in healthcare.

Hospital uniforms undergo frequent high-temperature washing. You should request test reports for Colorfastness to Chlorine Bleach (ISO 105-N01) and Industrial Laundering (ISO 15797). A high-quality set should maintain its structural integrity and color for at least 50-70 industrial wash cycles. Check for reinforced bar-tack stitching at stress points like pocket corners and side slits to prevent tearing.

Modern hospital uniforms must be highly functional. Look for multi-pocket designs (including dedicated slots for pens, scissors, and mobile devices), moisture-wicking technology to keep staff cool, and side-vented hems for ease of movement. For specialized departments, consider ID badge loops and hidden zippered pockets for security.

Always utilize Third-Party Inspection services (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on checking the stitching density (10-12 stitches per inch), size consistency against the provided size chart (tolerance should be within ±1.5cm), and fabric composition verification. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services can also provide a safety net for your payment until the goods pass inspection.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume-based pricing tiers; for example, increasing an order from 500 to 2,000 sets can often reduce costs by 15-20%. Ask for free pre-production samples (PPS) to be sent via air courier before the bulk run begins to ensure all branding and embroidery meet your specifications.

For large bulk orders, Sea Freight (FOB or CIF) is the most economical method, but you must account for a 30-45 day lead time. If you are restocking a hospital chain, consider a split-shipment strategy: send 10% via Air Freight to meet immediate needs and the remaining 90% via Sea Freight to optimize costs. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed packaging to reduce volume and protect the garments from moisture during transit.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualifications on Made-in-China.com. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the Incoterms 2020, detailed material specs, and a clear dispute resolution clause. Be aware of import tariffs and VAT in your destination country; for instance, check if your country has a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China that could reduce duties on textile products.
