Hoody string drawstring cord manufacturers

For premium apparel, you should prioritize 100% Combed Cotton for a soft touch or High-Tenacity Polyester for durability and colorfastness. If you are targeting the eco-friendly market, ensure the supplier provides RPET (Recycled Polyester) or GOTS-certified Organic Cotton. For the inner core, a braided polyester core is recommended to prevent the string from losing its shape or over-stretching during use.

The aglets are critical for both aesthetics and functionality. You should choose between Seamless Metal Aglets (Zinc Alloy or Brass) for a luxury feel or Heat-Shrink Plastic Tips for sportswear. Ensure the metal tips are Electroplated to prevent rusting and have a smooth finish to avoid snagging the fabric. For high-end brands, request Laser-Engraved Logos on the aglets to enhance brand identity.

Compliance is vital, especially for children's wear. You must ensure the cords meet OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to guarantee they are free from harmful substances. For the US market, drawstrings in children's upper outerwear must comply with ASTM F1816-97 safety standards to prevent strangulation hazards. Additionally, ensure all dyes used are AZO-free and meet REACH regulations for the European market.

Request the supplier to provide a Colorfastness to Washing test report (Grade 4-5) to ensure the cord doesn't bleed onto the hoodie fabric. You should also verify the Tensile Strength to ensure the cord won't snap under tension and perform a Salt Spray Test for metal aglets if the garments are intended for coastal regions or heavy industrial washing.

Color discrepancy is a common risk. Always provide a Pantone TPX/TCX color code rather than relying on digital photos. Before mass production, insist on a Lab Dip approval process. For large orders, use Made-in-China.com's Inspection Service to verify that the bulk production matches the approved pre-production sample (PPS) under standard D65 light sources.

Focus on Volume-Based Tiered Pricing; drawstrings are low-cost items where economies of scale significantly impact the unit price. Negotiate for Free Tooling/Molding for custom logo aglets if the order exceeds a certain threshold (e.g., 5,000 pairs). Also, request 3-5% extra buffer stock free of charge to account for potential defects during the garment manufacturing process.

Since drawstrings are relatively lightweight but can be bulky in large quantities, Sea Freight (LCL) is most economical for bulk orders. However, for urgent garment production deadlines, Air Express is viable. Ensure the supplier uses Vacuum Packaging or compressed bags to reduce the volumetric weight, significantly lowering international shipping costs.

To secure your investment, utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com, which holds your payment in escrow until you confirm receipt and quality. Always verify the supplier's Audit Report and 'Diamond Member' status to ensure they are a legitimate factory rather than a middleman with no quality control.
