Hanging chair manufacturers

For outdoor use, prioritize UV-resistant PE rattan (synthetic wicker) and powder-coated steel or aluminum frames to prevent rust and fading. For indoor settings, natural cotton macramé or polyester-cotton blends offer superior comfort. Ensure the fabric density is at least 300 GSM for durability and that all metal hardware is galvanized to resist corrosion.

Standard hanging chairs should support a minimum static load of 150kg (330lbs), while double versions should exceed 250kg. Request EN 581-1/2/3 certification for outdoor furniture safety and TÜV/GS testing reports for structural integrity. Ensure the suspension chains and carabiners are made of 304 stainless steel to prevent mechanical failure.

Look for suppliers providing high-rebound doll cotton filling in cushions with a thickness of at least 10-15cm. The chair's curvature should follow ergonomic principles to provide lumbar support. For 'egg' styles, verify the basket depth (minimum 65cm) to ensure the user doesn't feel cramped.

To enter the EU or US markets, products must comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) or OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. For the US market, ensure the cushions meet CAL 117 fire retardancy standards and that any wooden components are FSC certified for sustainable sourcing.

Hanging chairs are 'large-volume' goods. To optimize freight costs, choose KD (Knock-Down) designs that allow the basket to be disassembled into 2-4 pieces, significantly increasing container loading quantity. Negotiate FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your logistics provider and avoid hidden destination fees.

The most frequent issues include uneven powder coating leading to early rust and loose weaving of the rattan. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is made.

Focus on MOQ flexibility for initial market testing. Ask for a sample fee refund policy where the sample cost is deducted from your first bulk order. Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities and financial standing.

Always use Secured Trading Services or Trade Assurance equivalents to protect your payment. Never wire the full amount upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) copy is the industry norm. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the detailed material specs and packaging requirements to serve as legal evidence in case of disputes.
