Hand held rock drilling machine manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the impact energy (J) and impact frequency (Hz) to ensure the machine matches the hardness of the rock (Protodyakonov scale). For pneumatic models, verify the air consumption rate (L/s) to ensure compatibility with your existing air compressors. Additionally, check the drilling depth capacity and the shank size (e.g., 22mm x 108mm) to ensure it fits standard drill steel bits.

Ensure the supplier provides CE certification for European markets or ISO 9001:2015 for general manufacturing quality. For mining applications, look for MA (Mining Safety) certification. It is critical to verify that the machine features vibration reduction technology and noise control mufflers to comply with occupational health and safety regulations (OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).

Pneumatic drills (like the YT28 series) are the industry standard for underground mining due to their reliability and spark-free operation, but they require an external compressor. Internal combustion (gasoline) drills offer maximum portability for remote areas without power, while hydraulic drills provide the highest efficiency and power-to-weight ratio, though they require a hydraulic power pack.

Focus on the lubrication system; integrated oilers (like the FY200B) are essential for preventing piston seizure. Inquire about the material grade of the cylinder and piston—high-alloy steel with heat treatment is preferred for wear resistance. Ask the supplier for a wear-parts list (seals, pawls, and rifle bars) and confirm their availability as spares.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third party like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a video of a 'dry run' or actual drilling test before final payment. When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site factory verifications to ensure they are genuine manufacturers and not middle-men.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Request a bundled price for initial wear-part kits (valves, springs, and gaskets) to be included in the first shipment. For large orders, aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to maintain leverage over quality and shipping timelines.

Rock drills are heavy and prone to rust during sea transit. Ensure the contract specifies anti-rust oil coating and vacuum-sealed plastic wrapping inside reinforced seaworthy wooden crates (IPPC certified). For pneumatic tools, ensure all ports are plugged to prevent debris entry. Confirm the Incoterms (e.g., FOB or CIF) clearly to define where the risk transfers during the logistics process.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Verify the HS Code (typically 846711 for pneumatic tools) to accurately calculate import duties and taxes in your destination country, avoiding unexpected customs delays or fines.
