Gold refining equipment manufacturers

Gold refining typically utilizes three main methods: Aqua Regia (Chemical) Refining, Wohlwill Electrolytic Refining, and Miller Process (Chlorination). For B2B buyers seeking high purity (99.99%), Electrolytic systems are preferred for their precision, while Aqua Regia systems are more cost-effective for smaller batches and scrap recovery. Ensure the equipment features automated dosing systems and fume scrubbers to manage hazardous emissions.

Buyers should prioritize equipment with high-grade titanium or polypropylene tanks to resist corrosion. Key specs include precise temperature control (±1°C), adjustable current density for electrolytic cells, and integrated filtration units to remove silver chlorides and other impurities. For induction melting furnaces, look for IGBT frequency conversion technology to ensure energy efficiency and uniform heating.

Due to the use of acids and toxic gases, equipment must comply with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and CE certification. It is mandatory to have a closed-loop gas treatment system to neutralize NOx and chlorine fumes. Ensure the machinery meets local occupational health and safety (OHS) standards regarding chemical handling and high-voltage electrical safety.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by including the initial purchase price, consumable costs (acids, crucibles, anodes), and energy consumption. High-efficiency systems from reputable suppliers on Made-in-China.com can reduce gold loss to less than 0.01%, significantly improving ROI. Consider the scalability of the modular units to allow for future capacity expansion without replacing the entire system.

The primary risks include damage during transit, non-compliance with local environmental laws, and technical mismatch. To mitigate these, request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and ensure the supplier provides seaworthy vacuum packaging to prevent corrosion of sensitive electronic components during sea freight.

Focus negotiations on after-sales technical support and spare parts availability. Demand a 12-24 month warranty and insist on FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) via video link or third-party auditors. Ask for detailed English manuals and installation training videos as part of the contract package.

Use secure payment methods such as Letters of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com. Never transfer full payment upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance after inspection but before shipment is the industry norm for protecting buyer capital.

Gold refining equipment may be subject to Dual-Use Goods regulations in some jurisdictions; verify if an export license is required. For shipping, Flat Rack or Open Top containers may be necessary for large-scale induction furnaces. Ensure the HS Code (typically 8479 or 8514) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays and ensure accurate duty calculation.
