Glass wooden table manufacturers

When sourcing, prioritize Tempered Glass (Safety Glass) with a minimum thickness of 8mm to 12mm to ensure impact resistance. For the wooden components, Solid Hardwood (such as Oak, Walnut, or Ash) offers superior longevity, while High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) with Wood Veneer provides a cost-effective, warp-resistant alternative. Ensure the wood is Kiln-Dried to a moisture content of 8%-12% to prevent cracking during cross-border transit across different climates.

For the glass element, verify compliance with EN 12150-1 (EU) or ANSI Z97.1 (US) to ensure the glass breaks into small, blunt fragments if shattered. For the wooden base, ensure the supplier provides FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification for sustainable sourcing and CARB Phase 2 or EPA TSCA Title VI compliance to guarantee low Formaldehyde Emissions, which is critical for entering North American and European markets.

Focus on the Connection Mechanism between the glass top and wooden base. High-quality tables use UV-Bonded Metal Disks or Non-Slip Transparent Gaskets rather than direct wood-to-glass screws. Request information on the Load-Bearing Capacity (should be at least 50kg-100kg for dining tables) and prioritize KD (Knock-Down) Design to reduce shipping volume and minimize the risk of breakage during handling.

Modern buyers look for Beveled Edges or Polished C-Edges for safety and aesthetics. Additionally, consider tables with Adjustable Leveling Feet to compensate for uneven flooring. For office or smart-home use cases, sourcing tables with Integrated Cable Management or Wireless Charging Pads embedded in the wooden frame can significantly increase the product's retail value.

Insist on 5-Layer Corrugated Cardboard packaging with High-Density Expandable Polyethylene (EPE) Foam protection. The glass should be packed in a Wooden Crate or Plywood Case for LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments. Always request a Drop Test Report (ISTA 1A or 3A) from the supplier to ensure the packaging can withstand the rigors of cross-border logistics.

Start by requesting a Sample Order to verify the finish of the wood and the clarity of the glass. Negotiate based on Volume Tiers; for example, a 15-20% discount is typical when moving from a sample to a Full Container Load (FCL). Use Trade Terms like FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over your shipping costs and choose a freight forwarder experienced in handling fragile furniture.

Utilize Secured Payment Services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Hire a Third-Party Inspection Agency (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should specifically check for glass scratches, wood grain consistency, and hardware completeness before the balance payment is made.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some countries impose on wooden bedroom or dining furniture from specific regions. Check the HS Code (typically 9403.89 or 9403.60) against your local customs tariff schedule. Ensure the supplier provides a Phytosanitary Certificate if required for solid wood components to avoid quarantine delays at the port of entry.
