Fridge magnet clip manufacturers

When evaluating fridge magnet clips, the most critical factor is the magnetic pull strength. For industrial or office use, prioritize heavy-duty neodymium magnets or high-grade ferrite magnets that can hold at least 10-15 sheets of A4 paper without sliding. The clip mechanism should feature a high-tension carbon steel spring to ensure long-term clamping force. Additionally, look for anti-scratch pads on the magnetic base to prevent damage to metallic surfaces, which is a common requirement for high-end corporate gifting.

Ensure the metal body is treated with electroplating or powder coating to prevent rust and corrosion, especially if used in kitchen environments. For plastic components, verify they are made from BPA-free ABS plastic for impact resistance. From a compliance standpoint, products must meet REACH or RoHS standards for chemical safety, and if the clips are intended for promotional use in the US, they must comply with CPSIA regulations regarding lead content and small parts.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can request silk-screen printing, laser engraving, or epoxy dome logos for branding. For the clip itself, custom colors can be matched using Pantone references. If your target market is the retail sector, ensure the supplier can provide custom blister card packaging or PDQ display boxes to facilitate immediate shelf-placement.

Fridge magnet clips are versatile tools used in commercial kitchens for holding order tickets, in offices for organizing whiteboards, and in retail environments for point-of-sale displays. They are also a staple in the promotional products industry due to their high utility and low unit cost, making them ideal for mass giveaways at trade shows or as part of corporate stationery sets.

Magnets are classified as 'Dangerous Goods' for air freight because they can interfere with aircraft navigation systems. You must ensure the supplier provides a Magnetic Inspection Report and uses magnetic shielding packaging (iron sheets or specialized foam) to pass customs. For large volumes, sea freight is more economical and has fewer restrictions on magnetic field strength.

Always utilize Trade Resources and Secure Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com. Before placing a bulk order, request a pre-production sample to verify the magnet's strength and the clip's tension. For large-scale orders, consider hiring a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI) to check for defects like weak springs or surface scratches before the balance payment is made.

Price is heavily influenced by the cost of raw materials (steel and rare-earth magnets). Negotiate based on volume tiers; typically, a 10,000-unit order can reduce the unit price by 15-25% compared to the minimum order quantity (MOQ). Ask for a breakdown of the magnet grade (e.g., N35 vs N52) to ensure you are not overpaying for lower-quality magnetic force.

Check the HS Code (typically 8505.11 for permanent magnets or 8305.90 for office supplies) against your country's tariff schedule. For example, US buyers should check for Section 301 tariffs on Chinese-made steel or magnetic products. Ensure the supplier provides a clear Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from any applicable free trade agreements or to ensure smooth customs clearance.
