Freego scooter manufacturers

When evaluating Freego scooters, prioritize the Battery Capacity (Ah) and Motor Power (Watts). Ensure the battery uses Grade A Lithium-ion cells (e.g., LG or Samsung) for longevity and safety. For urban commuting, a 350W-500W motor is standard, while off-road models require 1000W+ dual motors. Additionally, verify the IP54 or IP65 waterproof rating to ensure the scooter can withstand light rain and dust.

Compliance is critical for customs clearance and user safety. Ensure the products have CE (EN17128) certification for the European market and UL 2272 for the North American market, which specifically covers the electrical drive train and battery safety. Additionally, the UN38.3 certification is mandatory for the safe transport of lithium batteries by sea or air.

Look for frames made of Aviation-grade Aluminum Alloy or Magnesium Alloy for a balance of lightness and strength. Safety features must include a Dual Braking System (Electronic + Disc brakes) and High-luminance LED headlights/taillights. Request the supplier to provide fatigue test reports for the folding mechanism, as this is a common point of failure in low-quality models.

Freego scooters cater to three main segments: Last-mile Commuting (lightweight, foldable designs), Shared Mobility (heavy-duty frames with IoT integration), and Off-road Recreation (high-torque motors and fat tires). Identifying your target segment allows you to specify the required Tire Type (Pneumatic for comfort vs. Solid for low maintenance) and Suspension System.

The main risk involves Lithium Battery Regulations. Electric scooters are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. You must ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Dangerous Goods Declaration. Failure to do so can lead to shipment rejection, heavy fines, or seizure by customs.

Start by requesting a Sample Order to test the actual range and hill-climbing ability. Negotiate a Quality Assurance Agreement where the final payment (typically 70%) is only released after a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party. Use the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the goods are verified.

Due to the weight and battery restrictions, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most cost-effective method for bulk orders. For smaller batches, consider Sea-to-Door (DDP) services which include customs clearance and duties. Always confirm the Incoterms; FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for buyers who want control over their shipping agents and costs.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have been verified by independent agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Negotiate a 1-2% spare parts allowance (controllers, throttles, and brake pads) to be included in the container, as shipping individual replacement parts later is prohibitively expensive due to international courier costs.
