Firecrackers manufacturers

When sourcing firecrackers, compliance is the most critical factor. You must ensure products meet EN 15947 (European Standard) for pyrotechnic articles or APA 87-1 (American Pyrotechnics Association) standards for the US market. Suppliers should provide CE marking for Europe or DOT (Department of Transportation) approval for the US. Always verify that the manufacturer holds a Class A or B Fireworks Production License and follows ISO 9001 for quality management to ensure chemical stability and fuse reliability.

Focus on the chemical composition (black powder vs. flash powder) and the decibel level, which must stay within legal limits (typically <120dB at a specific distance). Check the fuse burn time, which should ideally be between 3 to 9 seconds for safety. For bulk orders, request a Batch Test Report that covers the dud rate (should be <1%) and the integrity of the packaging to prevent powder leakage during transit.

Firecrackers are categorized by hazard level, such as Category F1 (low hazard) for indoor/close proximity use, up to Category F4 (professional use only). B2B buyers should select based on their target market: Retail-grade (F2/F3) for festivals like Lunar New Year or Diwali, or Professional-grade for large-scale event displays. Ensure the packaging is moisture-proof and includes clear multilingual safety instructions.

Firecrackers are classified as Class 1 Dangerous Goods (Explosives). They cannot be shipped via standard air freight or courier services. You must use specialized DG (Dangerous Goods) containers and shipping lines that handle IMO Class 1.4G or 1.3G cargo. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods.

Due to the high-risk nature of the product, use Secure Payment terms or Letters of Credit (L/C). It is highly recommended to source through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, where you can verify the supplier's Audited Supplier status and production capacity. Conduct a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) specifically for moisture content and packaging durability to avoid customs rejection.

Importing fireworks is heavily regulated. You must possess a valid Import License for Explosives in your destination country. Be aware of seasonal anti-dumping duties or temporary bans on pyrotechnics in certain regions. Always align with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) codes to ensure the cargo is not confiscated at transshipment ports.
