Fabric big bags manufacturers

When selecting Fabric Big Bags (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), you must prioritize the Safe Working Load (SWL), which typically ranges from 500kg to 2000kg, and the Safety Factor (SF), usually 5:1 for single-use or 6:1 for multi-trip bags. Additionally, verify the fabric weight (GSM) to ensure it matches the density of your material, and check for UV stabilization (typically 200-300 hours testing) if the bags will be stored outdoors.

For fine powders, require sift-proof seams (felt or cord filler) to prevent leakage. If transporting hazardous materials, the bags must have UN Certification and meet specific ADR/RID/IMDG standards. For food-grade products, ensure the supplier operates a clean-room facility and holds BRC or ISO 22000 certification to prevent contamination.

Depending on the environment, you must choose the correct Type: Type A (no static protection), Type B (prevents brush discharges), Type C (conductive bags that must be grounded), or Type D (dissipative bags that do not require grounding). Using the wrong type in explosive atmospheres is a major safety risk.

Evaluate the top construction (skirt top, filling spout, or open top) and bottom construction (flat bottom or discharge spout with petal closure). For space-saving during transport, consider Baffle Bags (Q-Bags), which maintain a square shape after filling, increasing shipping container utilization by up to 25-30%.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV Rheinland. Review their Audit Reports specifically for production capacity and quality control processes to ensure they can handle bulk industrial orders.

The primary risk is material degradation due to poor quality polypropylene (PP) or excessive use of recycled resin, which reduces tensile strength. Always request a loading test report and a UV resistance certificate. Another risk is moisture damage during sea transit; ensure the supplier uses PE liners or lamination/coating if the product is hygroscopic.

Since PP is a petroleum-based product, prices fluctuate with raw material resin indices. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model tied to market rates for large, long-term contracts. Additionally, ask for volume-based discounts—ordering in full container loads (FCL) significantly reduces the landed cost per unit compared to LCL.

Utilize Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. For shipping, ensure the Bill of Lading accurately reflects the HS Code (typically 6305.32) to avoid customs delays. If shipping to the US or EU, confirm the pallets used meet ISPM 15 heat-treatment standards.
