Extra oil price manufacturers

When sourcing EVOO, the price is primarily driven by Acidity Levels (must be <0.8%), Peroxide Value (should be <20 meq O2/kg), and UV Absorption (K232, K270). High-quality oils often feature Cold-Pressed or Cold-Extraction labels, meaning the temperature stayed below 27°C during processing to preserve nutrients and flavor. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to verify these chemical parameters against the quoted price.

Early harvest oils (green olives) yield less oil but higher polyphenol content, resulting in a premium price. Conversely, late harvest oils (black olives) yield more and are cheaper but have a shorter shelf life. Geographical Indications (PGI/PDO) also command higher prices due to strict regional quality controls. For B2B buyers, sourcing from regions with high production stability, such as those listed on Made-in-China.com, can offer a balance between cost-efficiency and consistent supply.

To maintain quality and justify the price, EVOO must be protected from light, heat, and oxygen. For bulk, use Flexitanks or IBC Totes with food-grade liners. For retail-ready products, Dark Glass Bottles (Marasca or Dorica) or Tinplate Containers are preferred. Ensure the packaging is BPA-free and meets ISO 22000 or HACCP food safety management standards to avoid contamination during transit.

Olive oil is a high-risk category for adulteration with cheaper seed oils. To protect your investment, only work with Verified Suppliers who provide Third-Party Inspection Reports (e.g., SGS or Intertek). Utilize Trade Assurance services on platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon verification of product authenticity and compliance with IOC (International Olive Council) standards.

Buyers must ensure the supplier provides a Phytosanitary Certificate, Health Certificate, and Country of Origin documents. Check for specific Import Permits required by your local food authority (e.g., FDA in the US or EFSA in the EU). For shipping, prioritize Temperature-Controlled Containers (Reefers) if the transit route passes through tropical zones, as temperatures above 30°C can rapidly degrade the oil's 'Extra Virgin' status.

Olive oil prices fluctuate based on climate and crop yields. To secure better rates, consider Long-term Forward Contracts to lock in prices before the harvest season. Negotiate Volume-Based Discounts (e.g., 5-10% off for full container loads) and clarify Incoterms (FOB vs CIF) early. Using Made-in-China.com allows you to compare multiple factory-direct quotes to establish a market benchmark before finalizing terms.
