Empty perfume bottle manufacturers

For premium perfume packaging, High-Flint Glass is the industry standard due to its superior clarity and heavy base feel, which enhances brand perception. Ensure the glass is chemically inert to prevent reactions with fragrance oils. For caps, materials like Surlyn, Zamac (zinc alloy), or natural wood are preferred for their weight and tactile quality. Always verify that the internal dip tube is made of high-transparency PE or PP that remains invisible when submerged in liquid.

The pump is the most critical functional component. You should request a dosage test (typically 0.07ml to 0.15ml per spray) to ensure consistency. The fine mist spray pattern should be uniform without 'spitting' or leaking. Demand a leakage test report (vacuum test at -0.05MPa for 5 minutes) and ensure the pump can withstand at least 200-300 actuations without failure.

Common customization methods include silk-screen printing, hot stamping, and acid frosting. For luxury aesthetics, consider color electroplating or internal lacquering, which gives the glass a deep, multi-dimensional look. If you require high precision for complex logos, UV printing is recommended. Ensure the supplier uses lead-free inks that pass the 3M tape adhesion test to prevent peeling during transport or use.

Bottles must comply with REACH (EU) or CPSIA (US) regulations regarding heavy metal content (lead, cadmium, mercury). If the bottles include plastic components, they must be BPA-free. For shipping to the US, ensure the glass meets FDA GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) standards if applicable. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and a Third-Party Inspection Report from agencies like SGS or Intertek.

Glass is fragile, so packaging specifications are vital. Require the supplier to use egg-crate dividers (cell partitions) within five-layer corrugated export cartons. For bulk sea freight, insist on palletization with plastic wrap and corner protectors. It is highly recommended to include a 1-2% breakage allowance in the contract or request the supplier to provide extra units (over-shipment) to cover potential transit damage.

Focus on mold ownership and MOQ. If you require a custom shape, clarify who owns the private mold and if the mold fee can be refunded after reaching a specific order volume (e.g., 50,000 units). For stock items, negotiate based on tiered pricing; increasing your order from 5,000 to 10,000 units can often reduce the unit price by 10-15% due to machine setup efficiencies in glass production.

Utilize Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. Never release the final 70% balance until a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is completed. You should hire a third-party inspector to check for glass bubbles, scratches, and pump functionality. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) explicitly states the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards, typically Major 1.5 / Minor 4.0 for cosmetic packaging.

Glass is heavy, making Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) the most economical choice. For the US, be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that may apply to certain glass categories; check the HS Code (typically 7010.90) with a customs broker. For European buyers, ensure the supplier provides a Packing List and Commercial Invoice that matches the EORI number requirements to avoid customs delays.
