Doraemon figures manufacturers

Professional buyers should prioritize Eco-friendly PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). High-quality figures use non-toxic, BPA-free materials to ensure safety, especially for products intended for younger audiences. The paint should be lead-free and chip-resistant, typically applied using electrostatic spraying or manual airbrushing for a smooth, matte, or glossy finish depending on the character design.

Since Doraemon figures are often classified as toys or collectibles, they must meet strict safety standards. For the US market, ASTM F963 and CPSIA certifications are required. For the EU market, CE Marking and EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) are essential to verify physical, flammability, and chemical safety. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) for customs clearance.

Prize Figures are generally mass-produced, cost-effective (lower unit price), and designed for high-volume retail or crane machines. Scale Figures (e.g., 1/6 or 1/8 scale) feature intricate detailing, superior paint jobs, and premium packaging, targeting serious collectors. For B2B sourcing, Prize Figures offer higher turnover, while Scale Figures provide higher profit margins per unit.

Inspect the mold lines (seams); high-end figures should have seamless joints or hidden seams. For articulated figures, verify the joint tension to ensure they can hold poses without loosening over time. Ensure the facial expressions and proportions strictly adhere to the official character style guide to avoid 'off-model' defects that reduce resale value.

Doraemon is a protected IP owned by Fujiko Pro. To avoid customs seizure and legal issues, you must ensure the supplier holds a valid sub-licensing agreement or an Authorization Letter. When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' who can provide proof of production rights for licensed merchandise.

For custom designs or specific poses, MOQs typically range from 500 to 2,000 pieces due to mold costs. For ready-to-ship (RTS) stock, you can negotiate lower MOQs (e.g., 10-50 units). Always request a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 10-20% as volume increases, and clarify if the price includes custom retail packaging.

In the figure industry, the condition of the box is as important as the product. Insist on double-walled corrugated outer cartons, bubble wrap for individual units, and corner protectors. For large sea freight shipments, use pallets with shrink wrap to prevent moisture ingress and crushing during transit.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping is confirmed. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) via a third-party agency to verify that the quantity, quality, and packaging match the Proforma Invoice before releasing the final 70% payment.
