Disodium 5-ribonucleotide manufacturers

Buyers must ensure the product is a mixture of Disodium Inosinate (IMP) and Disodium Guanylate (GMP), typically in a 50:50 ratio. The assay content should be between 97.0% and 102.0% on a dry basis. Key physical properties to check include solubility in water (it should be freely soluble) and pH levels (typically between 7.0 and 8.5 for a 5% solution). Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to verify these parameters.

For global trade, the product must comply with FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) or JECFA standards. Essential certifications include ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 for food safety management. If exporting to specific markets, Halal and Kosher certifications are often non-negotiable requirements. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides a Health Certificate and a Non-GMO declaration to meet modern consumer transparency demands.

It acts as a potent flavor enhancer that provides a 'umami' taste. Its most critical feature is the synergistic effect with Monosodium Glutamate (MSG); using a small amount of I+G can multiply the flavor-enhancing power of MSG by 4 to 8 times, allowing manufacturers to reduce overall sodium content while maintaining taste intensity. It is widely used in instant noodles, snack foods, seasonings, and canned meats.

Disodium 5'-ribonucleotide is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. It must be stored in tightly sealed, original packaging in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. The standard shelf life is 24 months. Buyers should inspect the packaging for PE-lined multi-layer paper bags or fiber drums to prevent clumping and degradation during long-term sea freight.

The primary risk is regulatory non-compliance at customs. If the purity levels or heavy metal limits (such as Arsenic <2mg/kg or Lead <1mg/kg) do not meet the destination country's specific food code, the shipment may be seized or destroyed. Another risk is moisture damage during transit; ensure the supplier uses desiccants and palletized shipping with shrink-wrap to protect the integrity of the powder.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for I+G, price breaks usually occur at 1 ton, 5 tons, and full container loads (FCL). Request free samples (100-200g) for lab testing before committing to a bulk order. Negotiate for flexible payment terms like Trade Assurance or Letter of Credit (L/C) for large orders to mitigate financial risk. Always confirm the production date to ensure you receive the freshest batch possible.

Since this is a white crystalline powder, it may be flagged for additional inspection. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certification for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. For shipping to regions with high humidity, specify the use of moisture-proof containers. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize suppliers who are Audited Suppliers with experience in food-grade logistics to ensure smooth customs clearance.

Utilize third-party inspection services (such as SGS or BV) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). This ensures the quantity and quality match the Proforma Invoice. Use the secured payment systems provided by professional B2B platforms to hold funds until shipping documents are verified. For long-term stability, stick to Diamond or Gold members on Made-in-China.com who have a proven track record of at least 5+ years in the food additive industry.
